Harbaugh Day Drinking Thread

Submitted by Mac Attack on

First day of a new era, basketball team winning first conference game of the young season, and one rival coach not wanting to acknowledge the hiring of Michigan's new head coach.

Why not?

Molson for me tonight.  Happy New Years and Go Blue!

Did everyone have a good Happy Harbaugh day?

Boy it was a shitty day to be a Spartan.  Harbaugh shows up, UM wins bball, and MSU gets punched in the dong in bball at home.

I like Harbaugh days.  A week after Festivus no less - Christmas in the middle.  Going to enjoy this week long festival in the coming years.

Henceforth will be known as Harbaugh Day.  Should we celebrate it on

1. December 30th every year like we do Veterans day on November 11th or

2. the last Tuesday in December like Thanksgiving is the last Thursday in November or

3. the last Monday in December like we do the other holidays?

BTW...anybody stop doing the Happy Dance yet?  It's almost 8.5 hours now and I have no desire to stop.

For the OP...I cracked a bottle of red wine.

In the bar at the United Club in the Houston airport, the one with no name.

And it's great. How can it not be great? Just back from Mexico and wearing my maize out M cap, and nothing but reverence all around. Just had an Arkansas alum look down the bar at me and say "Now this guy comes in just to rub it in on all of the rest of us!"

Loved it.

GO BLUE!!!

Pints of Boddington's. Several pints of Boddington's.

My wife doesn't think that this is a drink-worthy event, but I submit she is wrong. Grudgingly, she is watching the Belk Bowl and listen to me chat about potential assistants and I really don't care at the moment.

It's my birthday, and I'm drinking everything.  Today was the best present ever.  Jim Harbaugh was my favorite player growing up.  The first game I ever remember watching was when they beat the Buckeyes in 1986 when I was 9 years old.  Today was a great day.
