After everyone saying it was cringeworthy, I really want to hear it.  It will be posted on ESPN's podcenter at some point today.

Collin asked questions coach said yes or no.  Admittedly Coach could have played along, but the questions were not about football.  Just before Harbs was to come on the air Colin said they weren't going to be good this year, maybe that did not set well with our coach.

Edit:  Ever see the Joaquin Pheonix interview on Letterman? It was like that but colder.

Posted this on the other board post.

This interview was obviously painful for Harbaugh, but it's not like Cowherd did him any favors calling him out alleging he doesn't understand how to sell his program.

Cowherd says that was the worst interview he has ever given. He did that on purpose. It's not that hard to build rapport, even with a guy like Harbaugh. You just need to understand what the person cares about. Cowherd's said he follows him on Twitter and that it's evident he is committed to the community. Why not ask him about throwing out the first pitch at the Tigers game last night?

I mean this was Cowherd's first question: when are you at your least intense?

Harbaugh: I don't know. Ask Sarah, my wife.

Harbaugh: This feels like 50 questions in a row.

"...calling him out alleging he doesn't understand how to sell his program." I'd be interested to hear Colin discuss how he'd build a program since he knows so much about it. I understand Coach Cowherd was able to build the programs at USD and Stanford and was also very successful with the 49ers so I'm sure he has a lot to say

I was hoping to hear something fun or interesting.

That was just painful.

Not sue why JH wouldn't answer any questions with more than one word.

That didn't sound good at all.

Sounds like Harbaugh fucked up and did something dumb.  If you are going to do what he did just don't do the interview.  Being petty always makes you look bad.

You should really get another account for your real posting and use this one only for novelty.  I love these little zingers.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Know who you are interviewing, especially considering Harbaugh is one of the toughest interviews to get and do in sports. This hurts Cowherd much more than Harbaugh. It's a major screw up for Cowherd and it's not the first time. If he still has his ESPN job by the end of the year I'd be surprised.

Kids love playing for coaches that don't take crap and are a bit crazy.

There's no way of explaining that without admitting that Harbaugh doesn't like Cowherd. He didn't even try to humor him. The questions were friendly questions for the most part.

"If I'm an 18-year-old kid and I just heard Jim Harbaugh on this show, I'd go with Urban Meyer." -- @ESPN_Colin If any recruit used that logic as a basis to pick I school I wouldn't want them on my team... You're a mouth Cowherd, easily replaceable; compared to Harbaugh you've accomplished nothing.

...but as a fan, and I would imagine alumni even more so, I'd rather have the twenty kids a year that don't think how their coach "interviews on ESPN" is even a factor especially when the education should be their first priority.

It may limit the stars but won't matter Harbaugh will still field championship teams.

Ladies and Gents, let's be realistic... That was a horrible interview and I don't think you can put it on Cowherd.  I don't see how it can be considered a great troll job by Harbs either.  If he wanted to burn Cowherd for the things he's said in the past I'm pretty sure he could have come up with a better strategy than sounding like Frankenstein.  If he didn't want to talk to Cowherd, not going on the show was clearly an option.

Neg away...

I didn't listen, but I hope it made Cowherd uncomfortable as hell.

Maybe he shouldn't be such a twat - if it was awkward and painful, I'm glad Harbaugh did that to that little, wimpy cocksucker.

He's had a hard-on for Michigan since he came on the air in 2004 - it was really directed towards LC, but he's a douchebag and never quit grinding his ax he had with Carr. He prolly invited LC to come on the air, Carr declined and Cowherd got his panties in a wad.

LC used to go on Rome's show, and that prolly hurt that little bitch's feelings.

I mean... if he wanted to really let Cowherd have it he could have called him out on his BS and made him feel more uncomfortable.  The only people placing blame on Cowherd are on this board.  Let's take off the maize and blue goggles and realize that that interview did nothing for Harbaugh or Michigan.

Does it really matter? This intervew will be forgotten by tonight. It doesn't help, but it also doesn't really hurt. Everybody knows what Harbaugh is like. Hell, I thiink he's kind of an a-hole sometimes but he's our a-hole and we love him.

Yes, seriously. That's one of my least favorite WWW words. It reminds me of another one ("hella") that I find annoying (doesn't mesh with other words well, sounds too much like the adjectival expression "hell of", is often used by annoying SF Bay types, etc.).
