But saw this tweet:

And I'm glad I didn't listen to the garbage that is Cowherd. A pathetic turd.

Wasn't praising Urban any more than about 3-4 other coaches. He HUNG UP on Harbaugh, yes HUNG UP on him, because he felt it was like interviewing a rock. Harbaugh was a freaking goofball who didn't seem to understand English. Cowherd would have gotten a better interview with a ape

It's very disappointing that JH wasn't more prepared to be interviewed. It's not often that the whole country gets a chance to hear the head coach of UM speak about his team etc... Impressions aside ( which were terrible) It would have been nice to hear JH talk about the program and what's going on in it from his point of view.
Instead we got the interview with a rock.

Wrong... Not long ago he was talking shit about harbaugh and all the controversy he brought to Michigan before he even signed a recruit.. Even though signing day had passed and harbaugh brought in several recruits..

He was mainly bitching about the secondary violations under harbaugh or whatever the hell they were

Eh, I catch Cowherd occasionally for the last hour when Dan Patrick is over and if I happen to be in my car. That show appeals to the lowest common denominator. Cowherd goes for ratings, not for anything intellectual or objective, and I've heard him admit as much. There's very little value in his show.

Unfortunately, the show on 570 after the DP Show ends is just as bad so I'm stuck at times.

I was on the road in CA last November and he stated that Harbaugh would never coach at Michigan. He said back then the next Michigan coach would not be Harbaugh but once Michigan fans found out they would be  very pleased with the selection.  Yeah, we did get Harbaugh and we are very pleased, and you were so wrong!

I'm telling you, Harbaugh is a socia media genius. Whether it's taking off his shirt or trolling that OSU assistant coach, he finds a way to stay in the news. What's the better way to attract attention, by kissing up to a blowhard radio host or giving him the worst interview ever? Harbaugh wins again.

That when he goes 4-8 this season and gets beat by OSU 49-6 that you will again think it was a win cause people will be talking about him.
Laughing at you , is not good media attention. And that's what people are doing. Laughing at Harbaugh.

At least the UM coaching interviews have been consistent. Brady Hoke always sounded like a dumb ass, and now Harbaugh is doing the same. Somethings are just always going to be consistent among michigan men

Wow, you're totally welcome. Any other interviewers you'd like dissed & pissed off? Jim can handle that for ya.

When Coward kept saying "I'm a 4-3 WR, sell me on Michigan" I was waiting for JH to come back "Gee Colin, I don't know if we have a need for a 4 foot 3 receiver!"

I believe that was actually Danny Kannell's tweet which is being attributed to Cowherd here, so there's that, but the larger point here is that the statement is a ridiculous one. Cowherd really is - at his core - a pretty lazy troll, so the questions were of the requisite quality. I wish someone would ask more thoughtful questions honestly - I felt bad for Harbaugh.

never sounds great when he's interviewed. It doesn't matter whether its local or national media talking to him, because he knows whatever answers he gives will be reinterpreted for whatever purpose that he can't control. How many profiles have you read or how many times have you seen him in interview situations where he focuses keenly on what is being asked and then gives a measured response. He is rarely glib and sometimes short if he feels his time is being wasted.

I think he was on guard in this particular interview and telephone interviews are rarely opportunities for vibing with the host unless they enjoy each and find a mutual topic of interest. Cowherd's questions failed to elicit great observations because they were boring, questions that Harbaugh has already answered a million times. What was the first thing you wanted to change at Michigan? What's the hourly difference in coaching in the pros and college? When do you put in a gameplan for your first game? Really. Did we tune in to hear Harbaugh give us a compelling answer to those dynamic questions?

And what's more, he confused Harbaugh with his "buy" question which I couldn't even figure out, and that seemed to put the coach on higher alert than he was starting off.

Now if you want to see and hear an engaged Harbaugh, check out his Detroit News interview on Tuesday surrounding his first-pitch appearance at the Tigers game where he offered a couple of stories about going to a baseball game at Miller Park in Milwaukee where Brad Ausmus tossed a game ball to his dad or practicing the Charlie Lau hitting approach while at Stanford with the school's baseball coach. Those are fun stories and they came as a result of some simple media questions that got Harbaugh excited to share, whcih the guy legitimately does every chance he gets.

Just listened to it.  I didn't see it that way either.  The problem is Cowherd thinks Jim needs him and his show and it shows in this interview.  He mentions that he's trying to "help" Harbaugh by letting him sell Michigan on the air...Jim has been selling Michigan by his actions from day 1.  He is not a words guy.  Every interview is like this with Harbaugh.  I don't know why anyone would expect anything different.  I just don't get it.

I just listened to it as well. I don't fault Cowherd, he was his typical self, maybe even less obnoxious. He didn't ask anything unfair. Jim Harbaugh was also his typical self, which is not a good interview. I'm not sure why Harbaugh thought it would be any different and the same goes for Colin, but I don't get why Harbaugh accepts those interviews if he doesn't want to participate. Maybe he's being forced to and no he goes back to SID and says, "still want to make me do those?" Who knows.

Either way, that was pretty brutal and certainly doesn't make Michigan or Harbaugh look good, though I'm sure Harbaugh could give a shit about that. He's much more in the Pipovich or Belichick mold in terms of coaching. Which is OK by me.

My thoughts exactly.  He just hates talking to the media and I don't blame him.

If Cowherd was a Harbs fan why didn't he end that interview with some class instead of being a giant baby!  Really Colin, "I'm trying to get you to sell Michigan"!  Harbs was selling Michigan- no BS!  What was he supposed to say?  "Come to Michigan kids!"

Just Cowturd doing his thing.

That is not a apologist UM fan saw that interview and thought Cowherd did everything he could to keep it going and give Harbaugh a chance to talk about his program. But instead they got a guy who can seem to put a complete sentence together, and was so piss poor at being able to answer a basic question, like
" what did you do your first day" that Cowherd had to hang -up on his ass and then apologize to his listeners for having wasted their time trying to interview a Neanderthal .

Only caught the last part when Collin started saying that it was a bad interview and any recruits listening should consider going to Ohio State or USC
