Everyone Murders

The first one to come out, where Luke is recruited from his desert farm to save his planet, Obi Wan teaches him about the Force, yadda yadda.

I saw it twice, liked it both times.  Not a hater, I was just doing other things when the other 35 or so Star Wars movies came out.

I've also not seen:

  • Any Star Trek movies
  • Any Star Trek episode prior to the first (Shatner) series
  • ET
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Dune (read and enjoyed the book as a kid, though)
  • Any Harry Potter Movie
  • Game of Thrones
  • Etc.

Come at me bros, sis's, and otherwise-identified.

With my son for the first time.  Hard to keep track of the proper "order."  Prequel, sequel?  But not unhappy they're still cranking them out.

GO STAR WARS!

Plus Machete Order is great!

Pros:
.01% of the Jar Jar Binks
Wipes out mention of Midochlorians
Luke seems closer to the dark side in ROTJ, as you see the similarities between him and Anakins transition that is so fresh in the mind.

Cons:
No Darth Maul :(

Nothing sweeter than Darth Maul! I grew up with Star Wars, so I am biased. However, episode vii had to have been the worst movie I've ever seen. It was the same exact scenarios as the first episode. Except a pissed off Chewy. That was the only thing entertaining. Don't piss off the wooky!

Except it wasn't. People need to get over "a bigger death star". Why would they not try to build a better death star? It is cohesive to the story in that way. The character stories are entirely different unless you want to nitpick surface level shit (meeting up with han, secret plans in robots, new jedi vs someone new to the darkside) but it is a star wars movie there are certain themes that have to be in EVERY movie.

TFA was a great movie, the star wars fans that whine about it were going to whine about no matter the final product.

Have you seen any alternate cuts of the prequels?

Topher Grace made an edit that condensed all three films into an 85 minute film.  http://nofilmschool.com/2014/05/topher-grace-star-wars-editor-strikes-b…

I saw something called "The Phantom Edit" that was in the same spirit as Grace's and showed that there was a good story buried in the gratuity and the fluff of Eps I-III.

As an experienced Star Wars fan this list is totally factual and not debatable.

1. ROTS

2. R1

3. ESB

4. FA

5. ANH

6. AOTC

7. ROTJ

8. TPM

All 8 of them I love, i'm not the type to hate on any of them. They are my top 8 favorite movies.

Also the clone wars animated show is amazing (and on netflix).

Season one of Rebels wasn't geat, but 2-3 was good.

ROTS has extra shine to it because of the movies it's tied to. It isn't nearly as good as people make it out to be. I'd rank it 6th and ANH is 1 or 2 no exceptions. Lastly AOTC over ROTJ? ROTJ isn't the best movie but it doesn't deserve that
