Happy Mother's Day Mega Thread
She's an early riser and my brothers are not. First one to call her on every special day!
Happy Mothers Day to all the MGoMoms!
Cause every Mother's Day needs a Mother's night
that's how i tell your mother happy mother's day every year, too!
Heading up to lake placid NY with my parents and siblings (5 and 3) before I head to Seattle for my summer internship. I sound like I'm 18 but I'm 29. I just apparently live like a college student. MBA life is kind of awesome at times, minus the debt and no income part.
Even if she is a Florida gator fan
Is working, so it's me and the kid on Mother's Day. It seems cruel to make mothers work today.
kids and I just made my wife breakfast in bed...
My son has football at 3pm (flag footballl, he's 6). then we are coming back adn I am grilling all of her favorites.
tonight. 1 and 3 y old colored a giant card for her, flowers, dinner was yesterday. My mom's 2700 miles away. I'm pretty much solo with 2 kids until the wife is up.
1) Post now while eating breakfast and sipping java.
2) Driving up soon to GR, church and several hours to spend with Mom.
3) Get home late and take a quick peek at MGoBlog before bed.
My grown kids and granddaughter are spending the day with my ex, like they should today. Looking forward to visiting mom, she passed 80 a few years ago and is blessed with relatively good health. I feel very fortunate to still have her around, as so many of my friends have lost both parents already.
to post this:
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms who post and read on the board. You all deserve the best on your day!
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there.
As for the festivities here, I will be calling my own mother later, of course - the basket of tulips actually arrived yesterday up at the cabin where my parents currently are.
My wife and her mother want to do a pool party and some pizza at the Romulus Athletic Center later, so that's what my afternoon will entail. My wife actually got her gift in the middle of the week - a pendant with two jewels, each representative of one of the kids. I also made breakfast this morning - coffee, omelette, toast and sausage - with the help of the kids, who made their cards while I cleaned grease from the stove.
My husband is home with our son while I enjoy a nice long (6 mile) walk and iced latte. Later we are going with his family to the Gandy Dancer for a late brunch. My husband is also cooking dinner - frozen food from Trader Joe's :) No chores for me today!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!
Happy Mother's Day to all MGoMom's out there. May your day be merry and bright.
I would like it noted that if it wasn't for me there would be no Mother's Day in my household. Yet, I had to make breakfast!?!?!?
I took my mom (dad too) to brunch at the fancy revolving restaurant to celebrate and tell her I'm getting a very big raise and moving to Boston
Had dinner with Mom last night. Going to my mother in law's today. Drinking some beers and watching the Blackhawks tonight.
Happy Mothers day to all Moms! We all depend on the women in our lives. They do so much for us! Have a great day everyone!
Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!
And I hope this doesn't upset too many of you, but I do feel a little sorry for everyone on this board. And that's because I won. Yup, I won the mom lottery.
My mom is the best that anyone could possibly ask for, I truly am lucky. And she's close to 70 and hasn't slowed down in the least so I'm lucky there too.
I love you Mom!
PS - I was just joking about the feeling sorry for everyone, just emoting a bit....
I cooked Pancakes for the kids and now have to go to Sears to buy some grill parts. Then home to clean and refurbish the bull bbq in new home. Once this is complete, somebody's (me!) gonna grill me some tri tip for dinner while we swim in the pool.
One week removed from moving so no rest today... but couldn't be happier!
Happy Mothers' Day.
A hug and then was out the door- am currently on my way to play a US Open golf qualifier... Thanks mom?!?
Just had brunch with mom and my kids, off to the airport to fetch my wife, then making dinner for the family.
Happy Mothers Day to all MGoMoms
Facetimed the grandmothers and made the baby momma a spa appointment. Going for frozen yogurt after the baby's nap. Woo moms.
Durant's MVP speech tribute to his mom:
This speech was so awesome, but especially the tribute to his mom. Any of us who grew up with a struggling single parent know exactly what he's talking about!!
Me and my son went to lunch with his grandma. Then we went to the cemetery and paid our respects to his great grandma. Been a great day.
Took my mother, father and brother out for dinner last night. Luckily I was the only one drinking (they didn't know I was paying until after meal) so the damage could've been worse. Then had a bit of a family reunion this afternoon.
Went to brunch with the in-laws. Then came home to empty the dishwasher and other chores. I have yet to have a Mother's Day where I got to truly have the day off but it's the nature of the job.
They were singing/shouting in the living room and I was at the griddle. I suggested that the kids could clean up the playroom as a present; they didn't see the wisdom in this.
I sent flowers to my mom (400 miles away) and she appreciated them.
BTW, a good friend of ours (mother of three with fourth on the way) was driving from Cleveland to Columbus to celebrate with her own mom. Apparently her brother, who lives in Columbus, was taking his wife and MIL to brunch but did not think to include his own mom, who is super nice and lives nearby. Well done dude.
