Happy Friday/Long Vacation/POSBANG THREAD!

Submitted by MGoManBall on

This is my last day of work until after Christmas and I think I'm taking a half day today. There's no way I'm going to be productive today. Anybody have any big holiday plans?

POSBANG?

Fellow mgobloggers, I have the day off but for the wrong reasons, sitting at st joes while my dad has bypass surgery. Difficult day for me, but hope you all have a merry Christmas and a break from work/school! Go blue!

My mom had a heart attack 18 years ago, and received all of her care from St Joes. One of the best cardiac care units in the country (her continuing care goes through there to this day). Thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours, Leon, and here's to the speediest of recoveries!

I'm really sorry to hear that and hope your Dad makes a full recovery. On that note, being a Cardiologist I can say that nowadays people generally do very well following bypass surgery. It obviously depends on the magnitude of the bypass, but is see many patients live long and healthy lives following the procedure.

If I could give you just a little advice it would be to help your Father understand how important it is to take the Doctor's post-op care regime very seriously. When patients have a positive attitude and make the necessary lifestyle changes the usually do very well post-operatively.

Hang in there and I hope you and your family have a great Christmas this year and many more with your Father in the future.

It pretty badly, so not exactly the best start to break. Otherwise, a friend is turning 21 tonight so we'll be taking him out for what's hopefully a good night.

Livin' in Madison, WI, hating on another good Bo Ryan team, and anticipating a nice snow event tomorrow and Sunday.   Will stock up on beer, bread, and toilet paper to get me through the weekend.   I feel like an 8-year kid waiting for any snowstorm.
