Happy Birthday to Me - Posbang Thread

Submitted by Lordfoul on

I am feeling old, so maybe a Posbang would cheer me up!  It seems like my MGoPoint total has been stagnant for too long.  Gimme some Posbang love!

Other great gifts would include:

  1. Jabrill Peppers taking no more visits after today
  2. A basketball victory over the #1 team in the land tomorrow
  3. Health and happiness for all MGoBlog users

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Judging by your avatar you are Canadian. Maybe. I dont know for sure. But for the sake of this post you are. I just started watching Orphan Black and love it. Your gist is a Tatiana Maslany gif.

Orphan Black is awesome. I'm waiting for Tatiana Maslany to blow up...her acting is amazing in that show. She's been in a few episodes of Parks and Rec since, so hopefully that'll help push her career forward.

I fear the board will do to Posbanging what our office did to "Casual Friday".  Somebody always just went one step TOO casual and then it was back to suit & ties for everyone.

Well, happy birthday to you, and indeed all of you celebrating today.

I think we can afford to be a little generous with the posbanging for now since the voting system just returned and, for the first time in a long time, I am reading the blog without the nervous twitching.

Those of us at work will raise a glass in your honor a little later in the day. Enjoy it!

Thanks to bdsisme for the heads-up!

Edit: MGoPoints not going to the OP seems like something that should be fixed.  For a more deserving thread than this it would be a crime for the OP not to get credit.

The best Dec. 13th was in 1997 as my wife and I were waiting to be seated at a restaurant in Johnson City, Tn. I was able to hear Charles Woodson named Heisman trophy winner over Peyton Manning. Which made me scream Yesss !!!! To the chagrin of every other person in the restaurant !!!!! I believe we also beat Duke in b-ball that day !!!! Ahhh memories !!!!

I was in West Quad, watching the Michigan/Duke game and Heisman trophy presentation.  I bet you got some blowback in Tennessee.  I visited Nashville last fall, and people were still pissed off about the Heisman--it was the first thing that came up when I mentioned I was a Michigan guy.  Of course, I think Fulmer retaliated by voting Michigan #8 in the final Coach's poll at the end of the season.
