Had several encounters with Mr. Turco at hockey camps and he was always great. Will always be one of my favorite UM goaltenders.

Bonus: Relevant exchange from College Gameday a few years back...
Lou Holtz to Desmond: "You're a legend because your team wasn't tough enough to run the football."
Desmond: "No, I'm a legend because your defensive backs weren't coached well enough to stop me."

Lou Holtz is such an idiot. Not only were Grbac and Howard 2 of the best at their positions in the country, Ricky Powers ran for over 1100 yards and averaged more than 7. And he ran for a touchdown against ND that day.

Uhhhhh....O.K. I know Holtz is senile but did he really say that?
The running game during Desmond's playing time consisted of Tony Boles (until he got injured) Leroy Hoard, Jon Vaughn, Ricky Powers and an emerging freshman named Tyrone Wheatley. There was no issue running the ball during any of those years.
Even during Desmond's Heisman year, the usual game plan seemed to be 5-8 amazing plays by Howard, a few tight end passes to Yale Van Dyne and a ton of running and the offense scored an average of 40 points a game.

Yup. This happened the day of the 2011 UTL comeback game. See link below. Couldn't find the video, unfotunately.

It amazes me how it seems some animals do not feel any pain. That kitteh appeared to just shake off the cobwebs before walking away. That's some Brady Hoke toughysicalnessability right there. It's either that or they are in a crumpled up heap on the site of the road.

How is it that Elvis is now well into his 40s? Sigh ...
