Hangover Friday Posbang
Hope everyone’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and/or the start of the tournament went as well as mine did! Feeling it this morning though, that's for sure.
And yeah. We can't actually posbang. But so what! It's Friday, and here at mgoblog, we honor tradition. So post a gif. A funny story. A dad joke. An upset prediction. And have a nice day.
Go Blue. To hell with Notre Dame!
bastards are dead.

The mortality rate in internet .gifs must be like 80%.

Yeah, I saw this one before.
Luckiest guy on earth.
He should immediately go play the Russian lottery and hit on Ana Kornikova.
Not really hungover, but had a terribly scary morning when MgoBlog came up as a blocked site at work for the first hour or so. Didn't know what I would do with my days.
Ready for a bounceback performance against the Irish, and pretending to work today.
you just can't see how much banging you received.
Just turn on the lights.
thing than a sight thing.

Now with music!!
Don't forget Denard and his nd highlights....
Upvotes are like leprachauns. You know they exist, but you can't see them.
anybody else think that, much like everything else in our culture, the St. Patrick's Day thing has become entirely too much? Driving home yesterday was like playing a game of Dodge the Drunk People.
In the good old days people only got pants-off wasted at the appropriate times, like on a Friday after work when your team doesn't play until 10:00 PM.
40 years ago 50% of the population got drunk at the office pretty much every day. This country was swimming in booze until the 80's.
bad Hatter. I forgot that Mad Men was entirely 100% accurate about everything...

So . . . on one of my jobs I had a field trip to a District Manager's office once. Those guys were little Kings back in the day (mid-'80s).
It looked like a normal office until we went into the DM's office. It looked like Louis the XIV's bedroom. It even had a full size floor TV in the corner. He opened a large closet door and behind it was a full wet bar, stocked to the brim with liquor I had never even heard of.
This was like on a Tuesday in the middle of the day.
Times have changed just a little.

I work in the wrong industry. Or at least at the wrong company.
/plenty of that still happening on Wall St. I should move to NY and just beg Goldman for a job.

Sadly (but not for shareholders), those kinds of jobs are long gone at most Fortune 500 companies.

You have to stick to smaller firms. I have a buddy that works in IS and the smaller companies he's been at still have beer in the break rooms and stuff like that. He's at a big company now (being grossly overpaid I might add), and the culture is standard corporate America beige.
we are working in the wrong millenium.
Not hungover, but willing to pretend like I am.
BEAT THE IRISH!
PLUCK NOTRE DAME!
Derrick Walton, be Derrick Walton. Duncan you make those 3's. Win or go home.

Sure glad Beilein is our coach and not Matt Painter after watching that Boilermaker trainwreck last night.

FIRED. I was watching that game in disbelief. I have seriously never seen a coach make that many mistakes in a row in a basketball game. I have read a couple of threads over at Hammer and Rails and it is painful. They were up 13 Points with 3 minutes left.
Not even 2013 Kansas can blow that lead.

I need to hear more. I did not consider it but now that I think about it, there were some hallmarks there. Nobody on Purdue's team seemed to "want" to impose their will late or in OT. There was literal indifference on the face of several players, and Painter at times. And where were Swanigan and Hass, at the end of the game and in OT? Neither of them are particular free-throw liabilities.
What was the spread? It would seem they could have successfully allowed the lead to windle down from 13 without losing it. If it is was a middling "tweener" spread like 6.5 or 7.5 you may be on to something. It was certainly one of the weirdest games I have ever seen.
Let's Go Blue!
Beat the irish
Hail to the Victors!
So. Many. Boobs.

Purdue Pete looks like he knows what lies in the future.
after going through the julian and gregorian calendar change overs, turns out it's today. beware ND, beware....
All I can say is that I am hoping for a game tonight that at least doesn't make me do this....
....but you never know in the Tournament.
