Hail and Unite is back by unpopular demand

Submitted by Leaders And Best on

Hail and Unite has launched a new website and a promo video. The hype is real! They even have an executive board. It's fitting that this comes on a day when Brian writes about the failure of Dave Brandon. I wonder who served as Louis Elbel's CFO and COO back when he wrote "The Victors."

After the Halo, video scoreboards, canned music, watered down OOC football games against MAC schools, I've decided to save my strength.  The Victors isn't going anywhere and these students can't do anything to tarnish my degree hanging on the wall.

If the song sucks, then cool.  I'll just have to suffer for five minutes during a three hour beatdown of Sparty and OSU this fall.

First off, do they REALLY believe that it takes 6 whole months to create, record, and shoot a music video for one damn song? There are bands who create entire double concept albums in less time. How much effort do they expect Eminem or whoever they think they can bribe to actually devote to something like this?

Secondly, I know this is a pipe dream but I really hope that they have some neutral third party filming the documentary of this process already. I would love to see the behind the scenes interviews and meeting rooms where these people discuss the idea and then try and fail to process the public backlash to their idiotic idea. But that won't happen.

I'm assuming their Board which has more members than a Fortune 500 company is every person who likes this idea. Are the any current students on here who can tell us the general feeling about this? I have a feeling no one cares but us old coots.

It's like these guys don't realize that the pain they have in their crotches is from repeatedly smashing their nuts in doors, so they just keep at it.

The world has spoken; your idea is not welcome.  Sharpen up those resumes with something else.

BTW, the FAQ page on that site basically states that the only thing of substance they've accomplished thus far is create a website with Square Space and got "press" by everyone on the internet saying they are idiots and trying to get attention instead of meaningfully wanting to change the sports experience at UM.  It's almost comical how little thought beyond appearances has been put into this "innovative" project.

I'd rather them pipe-in Boten Anna than this dumb shit.

At least it would be unique. And nostalgic.

Hmmm Let's see. Marketing guys who don't get it why people don't like like their terrible fucking idea and so their response it to ram it down your throats. Did Dave Brandon create an internship?

Lets all get together and make sure none of our companies hire any of the "executive" team of Hail and Unite.

The threat alone will dissuade them.

From their website

There is a list of talent we have compiled, and the aim is to combine genres in an effort to appeal to multiple tastes.

No doubt they are following in the footsteps of Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach when the trio of composers teamed up to write The Alla Turca Moonlight Sonata Toccata and Fugue.

You all will eat your words when Hail and Unite goes down in history as a work of musical genius. If anyone can do it, surely it is a team of people-pleasing B-school students!
