Hackett on Rich Eisen Show

Submitted by Yostbound and Down on

Our new coach is going to be on the Rich Eisen show in the upcoming hour. Rich just interviewed Charles on the show, both giddily making Dumb and Dumber references...man I am excited.

Unfortunately no further detail on when the interview will start...I will post a time if I hear anything.

EDIT: Ah, Rich said Harbaugh is in a meeting now but they will try to get him in the 2:00 hour. But Hutch and Desmond are calling in. Sorry for the false alarm.

It's as Rich says "Coronation Day"

Hackett came on instead of Harbaugh. Quick interview. It sounds like he has a couple more projects to work on after this before he and Schlissl discuss whether he will stay on as permanent AD. Said first time meeting with Harbaugh face to face was Monday.

Rich is literally singing the Victors right now. Really fun show.

Harbaugh hasn't been on yet.

Missed Desmond's segment.

Charles was pretty hilarious. It was pretty much just Rich and him verbally high-fiving for a couple minutes. They were talking about this apparently even last year as a possibility though neither one thought it would happen for sure until last couple weeks. Definitely a pinch-me moment for them.

I love some of these highlights of Dan Patrick where he's saying Harbaugh stays in the NFL and Michigan is just leaking stuff to drum up interest in the position.

but Rich Eisen is the man.  Sportscenter sucks now (basically since he left), and he is one of us.  Loves Michigan and he just gets it

he just told Eisen he has a couple of other things to take care of, then he will sit down with the Prez and discuss both of their interest in whether the 'interim' tag comes off

Eisen playing and singing the Victors to wrap the show....

GO BLUE!

They had Hackett on because Harbaugh couldn't make it, but my excitement level didn't dip one bit. Speaks to how much of an OG Hackett is for pulling this off.

Eisen even admited he was insufferable and it was glorious. Eisen is as true Blue as they come and you could tell he was having a hard time staying on point so he just turned all points to Harbaugh.
