H2V 2010 arrived!
It's kind of like Xmas in July! I received my copy of Hail to the Victors 2010 today!
I wasn't expecting it until late next week. The Maple Street Press site said it would be available July 13th.
Definitely a great way to start the weekend.
The pictures look great and I'm sure the content will be just as good. Get your order in (if you haven't already). Have a great weekend. I know I will.
I know, me either, but I got mine too, all the way in El Paso! Woooooot!!!
from el paso?? I thought i was the only one!
Could it be that I have a Wolverine Watchin' partner for this fall? I was about to take out an ad on Craigslist to see if there was anyone else.
Sadly, i don't think that'll work out as i'm currently enrolled at Michigan so I, obviously, won't be in town. are you just a fan or are you an alum?? I had gotten to the point where I thought el pasoans only go to utep, tech or UT
Dammit. I'm from Michigan originally, just down here for work. I saw one guy at a bar with a Michigan shirt, but he said he borrowed it from a buddy because he puked on his other shirt. Oh, well...
Yeah, you'll get that happening a lot. People in el paso are fickle; they'll only support teams that win, there's no passion really. And those damned cowboys fans...
Whenever i say i go to michigan they always respond with "the spartans right?" I have to hold back from going off on a rant
I think i saw another username called West Texas Blue or something like that; west texas is pretty empty so there's a good chance they may be from el paso as well
Yeah, I've only been here for about a month and half now, but it doesn't seem too sports-crazy here. The World Cup was big while Mexico was still in it, but other than that I don't see many football-related things around here.
there is some football interest but, like i said, its a very big bandwagon type mentality; there is no "my team" here. Also, to them its like UM doesn't exist ha ha....its pretty frustrating
you guys got goin' on over here. All Hail the connecting power of MGoBlog.
are sooo cute!
I had forgotten to order even though I've been meaning to for weeks. (I don't think I ever saw a link to the order page! /joke)
Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered it. The $5 shipping is a little steep, but oh well.
Does anyone know if it is in stores yet?
Woohoo! Thanks for the reminder... just checked the mail and it is IN!!!! Now, I can do something other than MGoBlog.
The only thing missing is an autographed photo of Brian.
EDIT: There is an opening note, with his signature... that's close enough!
...just went to the mailbox and lo and behold: HTTV 2010!
How am I supposed to read it and stay on mgoblog at the same time? I'm sure I'll figure something out.
I'm in Ann Arbor and I didn't get mine today :(
Unless one of my housemates stole it. Doubt it though, none of them are big football fans.
so I'll probably get it just in time for the UConn game.
Most folks up here are fans of the Washington or Oregon teams. University of Alaska doesn't play football. Being a Michigan fan here can be tough. I have DISH and cannot get the Big Ten Network because I can only access their 119 satellite (the one farthest north). They don't carry the BTN on that satellite. I've begged and pleaded with them and even emailed their CEO (he actually replied!), but they still refuse to mount it on that satellite!
Still waiting on mine too, but I just ordered it last week so that's probably why. Hopefully soon!
I ordered mine up this past Sunday. Going to check the mail right now.
EDIT: it was there. I'm about half way done with it. Great read. Definitely recommend it.
can't wait to flip through it at work!!!!
Now I need to eat some 5 guys so I can spend an hour on the porcelain god to enjoy HTTV.
ordered it the day Brian announced it and I'm still waiting.
I ordered a couple of copies last week. Yesterday I recieved a white envelope from the Maple Street Press and was excited it had already shown up. I open it up and those fuckers sent two copies of "Here Comes The Irish."
