If they were going, they would have done it with THJ yesterday, right?? Right??

I'm betting they both stay.

Because if you announce that THJ is going and these two stay then 90% of your questions will be able why THJ is leaving and how GRIII and McGary feel about THJ leaving and so on.

It would be a disaster.

THJ would be made out like he's leaving his teammates behind rather than moving on to a new chapter in life (like it should be).

...I've always thought they're coming back, but this is a very strong point.

Another thing that I think will be a factor is that we're talking about best friends. If they go pro, they could be on opposite ends of the country in months. As a college freshman I know there's no way I'd want to leave my boys that quickly. And not college teammates, HS friends, etc. Brothers.

In the end, I truly think it's a lot of panic over nothing. McGary isn't a lock to be a lottery pick and I just don't see them making different decisions.

They're coming back. Let's see what we have next year with Walton, Irvin and Donnel joining them.

I think a joint presser means they will come back. Also there haven't been any leaks, which hopefully means they return together.

I think they stay... I don't think they'd double dong punch us like this.... They probably would've spaced out their announcements....

I think this is a good thing that they're announcing together.  I hope they put an NBA hat and a Michigan hat on a table and say, "this is Michigan, fergodsakes".

Nobody mentions UM as a top 5 team next year. Watch the first half of the Louisville game without Burke for a good portion and THJ playing poorly. Now add Irvin, Donnal, and Walton. Granted, somebody entered the Spike Albrecht cheat code and mashed the turbo button the entire half but still....this team has unlimited potential even without Trey and THJ.

Please come back!!!! Please!!!

Harris is officially back for State and people are now tweeting it looks like Payne is coming back too, we need both of these guys to compete with them for the B1G title!

Want them back, that goes without saying.

But if they make the leap, the very real possibility of having 3 Michigan guys drafted top 20 after not producing a first round pick since Robert Traylor is a great thing for the future of the program.  Next year?  Next year could be a tad rough, though I suspect it would be a fun season with the youngin's being forced into early action.  But for the next twenty years, the ability to show talented recruits that Michigan proudces NBA athletes would pay dividends.

I'd rather they go in the Top 20 next year to show that Beilein can consistently put guys in the league in high draft positions.  Otherwise it looks like a flash in the pan.

Two in the top 20 this year

Two next year or in 2015 (if next year's draft is loaded, maybe they come back for Junior seasons?)

Hopefully Irvin and possibly Walton after that...

Then we are onto something and Beilein will have one MORE tool to use in recruiting.

EDIT: I guess maybe Hardaway in the Top 20 this year is a stretch, but you get the gist.

Certainly that would be fine too, but worst case scenario for Michigan fans is that they all go and Michigan is mentioned every other word during the draft telecast which every recruit watches.

If they don't go, they'll get one in the top 20 this year - Burke.  Unless I've missed something, i've seen Hardaway pegged as a late 1st rounder at best, likely 2nd rounder, but possibly undrafted.

Gut feeling says they stay, only because I feel like it would be highly disrespectful to have a joint decision to leave.  It makes sense to announce together if they plan on staying, but announce separately if they plan on leaving.  Hope I'm right on that one.  If they both go, well, double dong punches for everyone.

There is an upside to sending players to the NBA though, I hope Beilein & Co. stress that on the recruiting trail.  "Come to Michigan, we send people to the NBA."
