I'd actually go for that.
I'm probably the only person on the board that would, though.
(I get the point, but check WSU's schedule and Leach's track record to see how unsurprising this result is).

Well, he DOES have a history of making light of player concussions, so should fit right in.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:33 AM ^
Why does everyone just assume Shane had a concussion? I haven't seen anything confirming that. It doesn't really matter, because Shane's leg was more than enough to take him out, but I don't much about a concussion.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:37 AM ^
Yeah, I haven't seen anything confirming that either. Weird. Maybe someone should have checked him out on that immediately after he had trouble standing after taking a helmet shot to the chin....
September 28th, 2014 at 12:45 AM ^
watch the replay, he was repeatedly blinking his eyes after being thrown back in there.
Shane did wave off Nussmeier the first time, thats on Shane I think but he should never have been allowed back on the field unless he passed his tests and I don't see how its possible they had time to do them.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:57 AM ^
He took a blow to the head and was acting in a manner consistent with concussion symptoms. A possible concussion has to be treated like a concussion until it's ruled out 100%.
September 28th, 2014 at 8:03 AM ^
Putting him back in without knowing 100% that he did not is just stupid.
September 28th, 2014 at 3:32 AM ^
However, I think he would get into trouble here. For a campus that used to be a bastion of left wing counterculture and activism in the 60's and 70's, Michigan has become too conservative for a coach like Leach.
September 28th, 2014 at 3:47 AM ^
me spit up half of them (and not because it was a dumb comment. Rather because of how on point it was).
Of course Leach would have problems at this school based on the culture. I don't think your last sentence would be the cause, either.
Leach is... special.
Don't get me wrong, he's a great coach. But.. he's different.
Tater... you like movies about pirates?
September 27th, 2014 at 11:51 PM ^
WELLLLLLLL you know, Washington State's got a great football team, they play real physical.
September 27th, 2014 at 11:51 PM ^
In Salt Lake City, too.
September 27th, 2014 at 11:51 PM ^
Not surprised, With brandon and Hoke at the helm this is the worse team in the B1G try to argue it
September 27th, 2014 at 11:53 PM ^
Illinois and Purdue are still in the conference. We did at least beat our MACrifice.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:56 AM ^
I wouldn't trust this team to beat anyone right now.
September 27th, 2014 at 11:53 PM ^
September 28th, 2014 at 12:04 AM ^
Great. So maybe we'll lose to Rutgers and only lose to MSU by 28 points?
September 27th, 2014 at 11:56 PM ^
September 27th, 2014 at 11:57 PM ^
I said it last week. Utah is a mediocre team. That does not bode well for us.
September 27th, 2014 at 11:58 PM ^
So we lost to Washington State by the transitive property.
Who am I kidding. Wins and losses are NOTHING when player safety is not a concern for the coaches.
September 27th, 2014 at 11:59 PM ^
And just wait - Minnesota is not good either.
September 27th, 2014 at 11:59 PM ^
Things better change really fast or the Rutgers game could be really ugly
September 27th, 2014 at 11:59 PM ^
translation... They're not any good. Didn't need this game to tell me
September 28th, 2014 at 12:06 AM ^
all that chatter basically confirms what I said, THIS TEAM SUCKS ASS. The coaches the AD the president the trainers all need to KICK ROCKS.
"HOKES A JOKE" "BRANDON IS THE PUNCHLINE"

But but but Notre Dame minus 6 players and playing 19 FR and RS FR is a playoff team!
But but but Utah is going to be a top 5 Pac 12 team!
But but but Minnesota has the clear path to winning the Big 10 West!
Oh yeah and WSU is AWESOME because they played Oregon close - not a playoff team but top 10 team. that Leach led group!
All our goals are still ahead of us!
September 28th, 2014 at 4:30 AM ^
I feel bad for all these teams that get their big season-defining signature win against Michigan and then have to realize later that it was all just an illusion. All they did was beat a shitty team and they themselves are still shitty.
ND ain't winning the NC, Utah ain't winning the Pac12, Minny ain't winning the B1G West, and Rutgers ain't gonna win the B1G East just because they beat Michigan.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:22 AM ^
It was 28-27 FWIW.
This just annoys me beyond belief. In fucking Utah, as well.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:43 AM ^
Prediction: We will get reemed by Rutgers next week. They are fired up, pissed off about their loss to Penn State and super eager to show they belong in the Big Ten.
Oh and they are good and we suck. (double suck on the road)
September 28th, 2014 at 7:31 AM ^
Last week, I mentioned briefly the progression of estimated chances against Rutgers, but to add to that now - after Miami (OH), it was still reasonably comfortable at 68% having fallen from about 80% at the beginning of the season (and that estimate was filled with 2013 data, so it isn't worth much now). After Utah, it fell to 58%, which of course slightly favors us but certainly projects a more "intriguing" game, if you will. Last night, we when into effective tossup territory with a revised projection of 51% per Massey. Ouch.

Hoke is the definition of 'dead man walking'.
September 28th, 2014 at 8:01 AM ^
I'm assuming since Hoke has proven he can't win on the road this lethal combination signals a sure loss and a very likely scenario in which we head to Lansing 2-5 due to this team's hangover track record.
