Great read on Eleven Warriors on stopping the inside zone.
This article is free of any Michigan slights, however the comment section is probably another story.
http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/film-study/2016/07/72…
Notable Highlights:
-Don Brown is the man
-Ohio State rushing attack can (will!) be stopped by discipline and technique
And we really shouldn't be having this thread until we beat them. And MSU.

this joke will never get old. and you execute it so well. Consistency is key.
Big surprise... Michigan slights on a non-Michigan board.
and comment section. Only one comment could be construed as a Michigan slight, a smart ass comment about moving a DB to SAM, a comment the author acknowledged was a smart ass comment before adding some intelligent discourse.
I was talking about this...
however the comment section is probably another story.Has the interwebs sissyfied everyone so much that a rival slights on a message board is noteworthy?!
I try not to venture over there. Their fans are the worst. Can't listen or read their BS.
And they would be dead wrong!
And running in to them in public is even worse. Time to win and shut them up.
They won't shut up, even if we win (ergo the 90s)
You are probably right about that. Obnoxious to say the least.
I swear their fans talked smack if not even more smack during the Stanton years that could never beat Michigan.
You know what's the best? When certain must-not-be-named radio host in Detroit whines about how sweet, innocent and rational their fans are and how they get verbally abused by crazy Michigan fans everywhere they turn.
I know lots of buckeyes, some are even decent people, and I can tell you osu fans were a whole lot different from '85-'00!!! Back then they didn't walk so proud, back then they didn't talk so loud...
But think now of anyone under the age of, say, 28... when Drew Henson went into Columbus in 2000 and rained holy fire down on their D, a now 24-year old would've been abround 8. And since then we have 2003, and a too close victory in '11 vs a team in disarray and led by Luke Fickel. It's kind of hard to blame them for laughing at us.
But for being classless, inbred morons? For THAT we can blame them!!!!!
You could always, I dunno, not read the comments. Or you could complain and miss out on a good article. Your call.

I detect an ever so faint aroma of sarcasm
+1 either way
Until I realized that offense is as physical as ours, just ran out of different concepts. Make no mistake - That team down south is built upon a dominating O line and a bruising running game. Maybe Brown will have the answers
Your point stands in it's entirety.
But I will say that their breakdown of schemes is pretty good.
And here I thought all it took to stop them was a little bit of rain
False. Also toughness as the point of attack. Amateur.
As is RCMB. All the Michigan sites are available though.
We have good IS people here.
It isn't blocked at my company, but I never click their links.
There are 20 games to be played yet, but...
I can't help but think of the spectacle that would ensue if Michigan and Ohio State are both 11-0 heading into The Game.
That would feature a potentially all-time defensive unit vs a likely nigh-unstoppable offense and could reasonably feature a legit Heisman contender on each team (Peppers and Barrett, possible others). Add in the Urban vs Harbaugh angle and ESPN might go into full-scale meltdown.
Fuck, now some MSU person is going to read 20 as "disrespekt."
Their fans are mouth breathers. Suprisingly enough some of the contributers of content over there are pretty good football analyst.
That was actually a well-written story, with plenty of video links to BC's defense along with the explanation of how Brown attacks a run defense. The author didn't slap UM at all. And of the 15, or so, comments I glanced at, only one was a snarky comment about moving a DB to LB. Otherwise, it was a decent response.
I'm sure that will change... But the story itself is worth the read!
I can't wait to see Don Brown's defense with Michigan caliber athletes.
With D Brown. But as always. Fuck Ohio State

Agree - the video examples were quite well done and clearly, and easily, showed what the author was talking about.
Of course, when writing for that crowd, we would all get pretty good at using pictures to describe our point...
I can't wait to see Rashan Gary at DE in the PUP technique. And the OSU fans' response after he drills JT Barrett
What keeps me up at night is that OSU's run game is so varied. OSU is good because they'll gap block and run power out of the same formation as inside and outside zone. That backside DE will get a pulling lineman or H-back in his face when he's expecting inside zone, and that safety cheating in the run game too often will get thrown on over the top. All out of the spread, and all done with 4 and 5 star athletes who are big and fast. Urban has figured out college football. Hate him, but respect him. Don Brown, please work your magic.
We stifled them for a half last year. However the second half was a lesson in elite adjustments.
Whoever has the best "Plan C" and "Plan D" will be the deciding factor.

Schematically there's a lot of truth to that, but if you have one team with a hearty defensive scheme as well, you could roughly boil a lot of the outcome down to execution. Athletes, scheme, all important, but you have to execute that, and not doing so leads to mistakes. Urban's teams do execute, obviously, but I have faith that we can show up and out-execute.
It seems to me that Meyer is OCD about the execution of his offense. Hopefully we have a man that is the same way about trying to slow down that same offense.
