Great play in Nebraska spring game. 7 year old scores.
In the Nebraska spring game they brought out a 7 year old kid that has been fighting cancer to run a 68 yard touchdown. He boy had become good friends with a few of the players so they had him out there in his own uniform. They handed him the ball and the whole team chased him down the field to the endzone. very nice move by the whole program.
you selected the best time and place for that remark.
That's pretty cool. Good for them...and good for him.
Honestly, their dline didnt look that good for most the day. granted the teams were split up with a mix of 1's and 2's.
eh we all know how telling (or not) spring game performances can be.
I don't think their defense was supposed to be much improved fwiw.
was funny. Touche'
Team Jack is an awesome cause and it was really cool to see Burkehead befriend him and help his cause the past couple years.
Very cool to see young men/collegiate atheletes realize some of the bigger things in life, helping others and put their popularity/"pull"/athletic talents to good use.
Bravo Cornhuskers.
....as letting this kid run the ball into the endzone, his run is actually listed in the official stats for the Nebraska spring game for posterity. Very awesome move by the program all around. Look for "Jack Hoffman".
Here's the video for anyone who wants to see the play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Jmisv1Spck
Awesome moment. Brought a tear to my eye seeing the little guy take it to the house then have the team celebrate with him.
Yep.
Makes sports more amazing when teams do things like this..my wife and i watched chris spielman story today on nfl network about his career and wife battling cancer and was quite choked up and she was balling her eyes out..great story..go blue
that was truly touching.
Awesome thing to do Nebraska.
no-likey big red stuff. great move and LSA made it better by showing the stat sheet.
That's awesome happy for the kid!!!!
