Great Frank Clark Video/Audio Dump

Submitted by denardogasm on

So I'm not a Scout member but they've recently been posting a ton of free content, which I think is pretty unusual for them.  It's still hell to navigate the site, but here are a few clips of Frank Clark from Big Ten Media Day I found especially enjoyable.  He talks about his upbringing and history mostly, and generally just comes off as an extremely charismatic individual.  He seems to have come a long way since the computer incident.

Also if you go to the WTKA podcast site linked below there are some different audio clips of Frank talking more about the team.  Just play the ones from 8/4 with "Frank Clark" in the title.  These ones got me even more excited that we only have 25(!!) days until the season.

Some thoughts.

Frank Clark, back up kicker, a regular twofer.  He's got a terrific story and he tells it well.

Never knew that about JMFR, having a hair obsession.

FC will be a media favorite for years.  A great interview, tells it like it is, keeps a sense of humor, and doesn't drop dimes on specific individuals.

Somebody needs to tell him he's giving away his story for free.

wow its kind of scary that frank clark did not receive much specific individual instruction on his repertoire of pass rushing moves until recently.  hes supposed to have been their top pass rushing threat at DE for several years running, but it takes dusting off old willie carr as some sort of DL mentor / assistant coach to actually work with clark on specific techniques for longer than 2-3 mins?  i love mattison, i think he knows what hes doing, and i know hes pulled in every direction every day as DC, but that just seems outrageous to me.  god bless will carr though, maybe our pass rushers not only develop some counter moves, but also a sense of when and how to utilize those moves in attacking QBs

Falls in line with what was said about him in this article. I found it disappointing that after being here all this time as a DE and to not have at least one go to move. I would chuck that blame up to the coaches and to Frank Clark himself. At least he's now getting proper instruction. We need him to have a monster year off the edge.
