Great basketball comeback and I enjoyed it with my son

I'll keep telling myself that was the case and not PSU folding like a cheap suit. M looked BAD the first half. There was absolutely no defense down low. JB even put Gibson in for some Gumby minutes and yanked him when it was obvious that wouldn't help. Not sure what was up with Manny in the 1st half. He seemed confused and was constantly making bad judgements on defense as well as not taking a lot of shots that he should have taken. The one constant was Novak. I think he was the only player on the floor all night and he was there frequently. The PSU fans were even giving him some love and a few asked me his name then would say he plays really tough. That was at halftime when they thought the game was a walk. It seemed that LLP was the spark that set them off tonight. He was doing a lot of cheering and yelling from the bench, then when he did get in he was knocking down 3's in the 2nd half. 1-3-1 also helped a bunch in the 2nd half. Even though we're not half through this year, I'm really excited about Morris. He's a really big PG and plays over his defender. Simms on the other hand seems to want to play small. I think you should be able to see the pics I took at the game... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=12644&id=100000065194097&l=ee0cee… The best part was that my son got to see his idol, Novak. I wish we could have gotten an autograph for him. He must have told his buddy 100 times, "Now you see why I want my jersey number to be 0"

I thought about your earlier thread about getting sweet tickets while watching that comeback. I bet it was awesome! Were you guys decked out in M gear? Were PSU fans mean to you after/during the game?

Only one lady was being an A-hole and it was all directed at the refs. A few of them gave some friendly jabs at halftime, but nobody said a peep afterward. The usher was sorta a prick after halftime and wanted to check my ticket. My wife was wlaking in front of me (in PSU sweatshirt) and he didn't stop her. I asked why he was hassling me and if it was because of my shirt. He said it was and that normally Michigan fans sit behind the Michigan bench. I told him if he could get me great seats there I'd gladly move...he didn't. My son's friend has it recorded. They think I'm on TV a lot since the bright maize shirt stuck out sitting behind the PSU bench.

Also about Morris is that he needs to learn how to run the offense and stop making stupid mistakes. He also needs to become more of a scoring threat and I believe he has the potential to do that. But yeah I think he is big for a PG and he could be an elite defender when guarding these more athletic PG's with his brute strength.

I agree that Sims played incredibly, but he still plays small. That doesn't prevent him from getting 20 points a night but it is difficult to match up with much taller centers (altough his speed and athleticism help him a ton). To the OP: Great seats and great experience, what a game. I bet that arena had no pulse with how empty it looked, but nevertheless what a great game.

Sims played awesome but I wish that him or someone else would get the team fired up to play. They look like they are just going through the motions sometimes, especially on the road. Digging such a huge hole on the road will not result in many wins in this conference. It was a good thing that the three point shooting picked up in the second half.

The team has a weird dynamic. I hope they bounce back and play wire to wire instead of just one half. Morris will be good/better, seems to get frustrated, but a frosh.

the game this morning... and michigan did look like crap in the 1st half... as for manny, until a 3rd scorer steps up on a regular basis teams are just going to face guard him... that babb kid had his hands all over manny and was grabbing his jersey to slow him down around screens... thats where the refs have to step and make a call here and there to stop that shit...

This team is more manic then Courtney Love and they are taking me with them. I actually felt depressed watching that first half and then to see the second half I was even more upset about how they played in the first half. We will just have to watch as the youth at the point grows up all year long.

JB even put Gibson in for some Gumby minutes and yanked him when it was obvious that wouldn't help. Gibson plays every game (and often is a valuable sub).

i enjoyed it with my father. this is the life that we will live with a 3 point shooting team. high highs and low lows.
