Great to see Denard get "good ink."  It's also great to see him elevated above Tebow for his willingness to change positions.  My position on Tebow all along is that he could have had a long career as a TE or H-Back.   Denard is smart enough to know where his best chances lie and humble enough to subjugate his ego.

Tebow = not very talented quarterback masqeurading as the opposite. I would bet most NFL coaches/GMs care more about talent than personality. If he could ball, he'd still be in the league.

My friend dared me to start him on my team when he first got the starting nod for the Jags.  I declined, but picked him up anyways, all in good fun.  To my dismay (and at the same time, my delight) he went off and certainly got the start on my team the following 2 weeks.

it was opening sunday for the lions (would eventually lose to the bears on a bs calvin complete the process rule).  it was the day after this happened:

me and my gf were walking to subway at the state and packard intersection.  i see a guy in normal street clothes and a michigan tshirt.  as we started to get closer i realized who it was, and all that i could think was oh god dont embarrass yourself.  well he went to shake hands and i tommy boy'd him and just hugged him and all i said was thank you, thank you.  he laughed and smiled and continued on his way.  then we ate subs.

proud to have denard represent this fine university and town.

Especially in the last few weeks, it has been nice to see Robinson settle into a role as a pretty solid RB for Jacksonville, and as the article mentions, having him simply focus on that role and doing away with the "offensive weapon" thing has helped immensely. I did think the Antwaan Randle El comparison was interesting - hopefully, it turns out to be a story like that.

Does the fact that Denard plays RB for a bad team hurt him fantasy-wise - as in the Jags can be often expected to trail late in the game, which tends to incline teams to pass more often?

I sometimes wonder what would have happened with Denard had Tate Forcier had a better work ethic. Tate was clearly the preferred starter throughout his freshman year and also the superior passer. Had he come in with a great work ethic, he may have started 4 straight years and Denard may have been a RB from his sophomore year on.
