Grantland: All of the Non-Harbaugh Reasons to Get Excited About Michigan Football in 2015

Submitted by JClay on

" A nine-win season should be within reach. Of course, Michigan could always limp to another disappointing finish, but if a few things break right and the Wolverines wind up playing on New Year’s Day, it won’t only be because the new head coach is the Messiah. It will be because this team has underachieved for a while, and it has the pieces it needs to do well right away."

I think we lose a close one to Utah, but build momentum after that. No way we lose to Minnesota as our defense has some payback to offer their QB. Agree with losses to MSU and OSU, but could see one turning into an upset. I predict 9-3 with loses to Utah, MSU, OSU

On WTKA yesterday, Marcus claimed the running game will be "on point." What that means from a statistical output point, I don't know, but if we have an effective running game, and Rudock will be the smart, TO-avoiding QB everyone is advertising, then this is a 10+ win team.

Two - three years ago it seems like most of the posters here were pointing to 2015 as the year for Michigan to break out with a stellar season.  By then, the thinking was, there would be depth nearly everywhere with upperclassmen dominating the two deep.
