and on multiple plays he very clearly was two-stepping every 5 yards once he got up to speed. In fact on a lot he was getting up to 6 yards per 2 steps.

I don't think he has elite speed either, becaues elite speed is as they say "elite".. and it's his quickness that that may be lacking more not actual speed, but your little barometer isn't evenaccurate.

Random tweets already went out stating that he committed followed by correction tweets a couple of minutes later that he did not committ. Recruiting is funny.

I'd be curious to hear Magnus pros and cons of Burnett v Perry.

Burnett sounded like a smaller version off Canteen but that's just reading Ace's gathered data from scouts.  But he has some big offensive minds such as Leach at WSU and Norvell at ASU after him.  Perry has MAC offers and good ole Pat F.  Is the Dileo example above a good parallel?

Neither one is a real burner, but I think they're both players who would be used similarly. I think Burnett is more of a downfield threat because he can go up and get the ball and has a little more burst. I'm okay with the Drew Dileo comparison for Perry, who I think is purely a possession guy. I think Perry would be effective in the slot running crossing routes, out routes, and up the seam, but I think he would be overmatched by the quicker corners on the outside.

I would like to publicly apologize for a) not producing something new about a player who many people here have been watching for the past two years and b) not doing a play-by-play breakdown of a guy whose offer was recently extended.

Believe it or not, I don't have time to do two in-depth scouting reports every time a random person on MGoBlog asks me to do a comparison.

You are selling this kid short. He looks to have good burst and quickness even if his top end speed is not 4.4. More importantly is his field awareness. You really see this on his punt returns. I think he will prove to be a good get this late in the game.

He looks like a flat out gamer to me. Could be the guy who revolutionizes our special teams and causes it to be a huge strength for the team.
