Graham Glasgow invited to the Senior Bowl

Submitted by Leaders And Best on

Not sure how often this happens, but Graham Glasgow was offered a spot at the Senior Bowl based on his performance in practice this week at the Shrine Bowl. I did not realize you could play in both games.

He's been added to the accepted invite list on the Senior Bowl website:

yeah glasgow didnt make many draft lists prior to shrine bowl stuff (though none of those lists are from pro personnel people) but figured hed have a shot at getting picked up late so its great to see him blowing up a little.

wild journey for glasgow from walkon to starter to in the doghouse for booze / legal issues to working his way back and playing great ball as a senior - wild but im sure very rewarding, great to see.

glasgow was always going to end up in some teams camp (either drafted or free agent) and ultimately play his way on to a roster, at least in my opinion.  teams will value his versatility, experience and decent combo of size / strength and athleticism as backup OL since rosters are limited to 53 / 46 players - not to mention his durability which is huge.  hes got a lot going for him

I know a few weeks ago sites like 24/7 Sports were projecting him so low, they didn't even foresee a UFA for him after this year's pro draft. Glasgow's stock has sure risen dramatically, greatly helped by his Citrus Bowl performance. Well done, Mr. Glasgow. Keep up the great work.

So when Harbaugh says someone is playing at an NFL level, he's not just blowing smoke up someone's arse? It's almost like this guy knows what he's talking about.

Life is not fair, I just read 7 threads about Joe Bolden getting "ohhhs" and "ahhhs" at the Shrine practices, but we are now limited to only to 1 thread for Graham Glasgow???

to Harbaugh for mentoring him through the DUI stuff last year.  Could have turned out much differently for the kid.  Hope Graham makes it big in the NFL and makes his roommate grandmother proud.

"He was the guy who really stood out to me," NFL Network's Mike Mayock said earlier this week. "It's a strong year for centers, but he looks like an NFL starter. Very strong. He could compete at the Senior Bowl."

Good news for Graham Glasgow, of course, and I think the question now is where might Glasgow go in the draft perhaps. I could be way off, but I wonder if, with a good Senior Bowl performance, he plays his way to at least a middle-round pick (where most centers seem to go anyway).
