GR3 Appreciation Thread

Submitted by MontuckyYooper on

There's been so many people questioning this kid's ability (and downright hating on him).  Yet he's made SO many hustle plays in the last few games.

I, for one; am really proud of how he's battled and figured out his role on this team.

7/11, 3/4 FT, 17 points, 8 Rebounds and 3 assists.

And a game-winning shot on his daddy's home floor. Big ups to G.

How far can this team go if Stauskas, LeVert, and GR3 all play well on the same night?

GR3 is like Denard to me. Such a likable guy. Down to earth. Makes bad teams look really bad but disappears sometimes against the good teams. He was all there tonight. Really happy for him.

... I thought he was coming around.  Showed good effort throughout that game, and two particular pre-oop plays stood out: 1) the touch pass to Caris in the corner for his baseline run and dunk, 2) the banked in shot off of the loose ball in the paint that put M back up nine with three or so minutes left.

After that second play, I knew we'd win.  If Sparty closes to seven there, its a tight finish. GRIII showed awareness there to get the ball and composure to cooly drained the bank.

Nice to see him get some prime time exposure for coming through v. Purdue.  With luck, it will give him a further boost of confidence to help carry us through to the title and a good NCAA showing.

I just think it's so awesome that Glenn did this in the building where his dad was a legend.

This is stuff you WILL see on the journey show. Holy cow.

So awesome for Glenn - he stepped up and hit some big shots in the second half to get us to OT, and for him to do that at Purdue, in front of his dad - I don't know if that kid sleeps a wink tonight.

It was a great shot, and I'm happy he made it.  Doesn't completely erase the fact he's been limited offensively for most of the year and hasn't made the strides some expected.  Not a negative swipe at him, but his box scores this year have been pretty inconsistent.  Today he played really well.  Let's hope it continues.

just wish he would play up to his NBA expectations. I would like to see him do well and get drafted high. I'm more discouraged than down on him. Hope he comes back and lights it up next year (rather than leave and get drafted too low).

Has his stroke going and his shot just drop in pure and make that cha ching sound.

Great win for the boys eventhough we started like shit again. GO BLUE

Great game for Glenn, knocking down clutch outside shots, attacking the lane and splitting 2 defenders for the game winner. Well done and much deserved.

I think it must be hard to keep the negative voices out of one's head. I'm glad Glenn still has the confidence to make that shot and keep pushing.

I guess I dont read enough of this blog, I havent seen too much hate on GRIII, not sure why peeps would be hating on him...he is frustrating at times, like all athletes, but he busts his ass for the team.

Kid has buckets of talent. If he gets a dribble drive game going...oooo weee.

I am praying everyone comes back next year (other than Morgan of course) that could be a scary good team......I think its a good possibility right?
