Got my tickets today!

Submitted by mGrowOld on

Section 3, Row 27, Seats 25 & 26 arrived today in Northeast Ohio via the good old US Postal Service.  Gonna be a good day tomorrow!

Wait a minute, aren't you the guy who started a thread today asking for advice for your fantasy football draft?

I didn't mind that thread and I don't mind this one.  It's the offseason -- I'll talk about whatever the hell you guys want to talk about while I'm pretending to work (well, within reason).

and OP mentioned in that thread how he didn't really appreciate all the 'fluff' threads out there, only to post this mindless drivel a few hours later.

Also, while my post was about fantasy football NCAA style, I was hoping to spur some comments/opinions about who could potentially be a big perfomer and just talk NCAA football in general.

Jaggs:

My post in your Fantasy Football thread was not aimed at you directly but rather the overall lack of any substantive content on the board yesterday.  We had two FF posts going at the same time, a post on socks (not to be confused with Section 1's diary on socks) and general blather all across the board - MY POST INCLUDED.  If you'll notice I did not down vote your post and I did not call it out as being especially awful - I simply mentioned that all posts yesterday were lacking any signficiant content.

You have personalized my comment on yesteday's content when nothing in what i said or did directed at you in any way.  Re-fucking-lax.

torn up about it, believe me. However, I do disagree on the matter of me personalizing your comment. When you comment in a thread about the abundance of fluff, it is implied that you believe it to be fluff (what a weird word btw), so whether you intend or not, it comes across that way. Again I really could care less here...

Yeah I actually I thought about that (110,000 potential "got me tickets" threads`)  but I went ahead and posted anyways cause the only one I had seen so far was from MWolverine.  And being from Cleveland I thought it would let out of state people know to look for them now if they havent already arrived.

I got mine in Cleveland also , and frankly, I appreciate this thread.  The tickets were a little late this year and I was slightly worried.  I appreciate hearing about others' experiences.

The topic of the thread was adequately labeled.  Not interested?  Don't click on it -- just go make your hamburger helper and be quiet.

Since we have always wondered how the AD determines the process of mailing tickets, let me muddy the waters even further. It can't be based on address, or priority points, or seat location, or donation level... The only thing I can think is it's alphabetically and combined with some other metric or metrics. Case in point, I received mine on Saturday, but my father-in-law did not. This is peculiar because they were originally his tickets until he split them apart a few years back when they allowed this. They are all together. He lives a mile away from me and we are on the same mail route. He has about 600 more priority points than I do, and has given more dough... By a mile. He has been a ticket holder for 40 years... And he's pretty pissed that I got mine first. My last name does come before his alphabetically, so that must factor in somehow. Or maybe it's just blind luck.

Although, I am not sure why this deserves a thread.  I want to open the package so bad but am waiting for the wife to get home so that she can take a picture of me and my 6mo old son opening his first of many season tickets.  I guess there will be 4 years that he won't need the season tickets though.

I received my tickets today as well. I'm a 3rd year season ticket holder. I had Sec. 40, Row 12, Seats 13 & 14 for the last 2 season.

This year, I requested better seats but didn't give any extra money other than the normal seat donation. I ended up with tickets in Sec 41, Row 34, Seats 1 & 2.

Am I wrong in thinking I got screwed and ended up with worst seats.

I got mine on Saturday, I'm on the west side of the state. Kalamazoo, last name starts with an H, 4 year season ticket holder, priority points 33. Section 41 row 40 seats 5 and 6, section 41 row 39 seats 15 and 16.

Living out in St Cloud, Minnesota, I received my tickets fairly quickly.

Section 21, Row 40 seats 24-25.

It's a long drive from MN to Ann Arbor, but it's worth every minute to savor Michigan Football!

For those figuring this out ;), I'm also an H who received tickets on Friday on the east side of the state.  Mgrowold- I'm also section 3, seats 25 & 26, but way up near heaven (in the 80's).  Can you tell me what yard line they are?  It looks like the numbers run south to north in the section, but I don't know how many seats are in the row.

First year as an official season ticket holder and I was able to get section 33 row 5.  I graduated 3 years ago and they're exactly where I wanted to be, down low close to the student section.
