Google Calendar

Submitted by joeyb on

I found this public calendar for Google Calendar that has all of the announced games for this season and next (and for last season, not that that matters) with times and channels for each. I thought I would pass it along for any one else who wants to have this on their calendars.

iCal calendars can also be imported into Google Calendar for those that want it there too (like me).

Yahoo maintains calendars for sports including college football that they update with the score after the game (although sometimes it takes a while).

If I recall, formerlyanonymous, you were planning on updating each event after it happened. Although I don't know what you were planning on adding.

I'm not sure I'll be updating scores. We'll see if that happens as it's a lot to keep track of as I've got these for each of the minor sports, too. It's not like I'm getting paid for it, but there may be some experimentation to it to start the year. I should be at least updating times and TV as they come available.

Well, I think that that's more than fair.

I'd be willing to bet though that it would be possible to find at least one super fan for each of the minor sports that wouldn't mind updating scores and what not. Then you could just deligate out to them the actual task of updating each the calendars with the results of each game.

It's just a suggestion though, feel free to take it or leave it.

I tried to add the football calendar to my Google Calendar, but it would not work. Instead, I got a message that the calendar is not public. Any idea on how to fix this?

It looks like it just came off of my calendar in the last couple of days. However, at the top of Google Calendar, there is an alert for sports calendars. If you click on the link and go through the hierarchy, they have the football schedule and I have heard they update it with scores as well.
