will be michigan's highest pick in a while
Goodbye: Tamani Carter
Hey guys, how does this affect the scholarship situation? Can we back date any early enrollees? I thought 25 was the limit, but maybe we can have 28? Also, is Levenberry back in the fold? How about Treadwell?
/ didn't read above
// wondering if these are new questions
/// will hang up and listen
I feel so ruthless looking in this thread and immediately seeing all the scholarship calculations

Don't, it's perfectly normal & ok. When something like this happens you're allowed to have two seperate reactions: feeling bad for the guy/wishing him the best AND thinking about how it effects the team. I think it's kind of silly how the board attacks anyone who says it's a good thing for the team... it can be tactless to say "Wow! Great news!" without acknowledging the player himself, but there's nothing wrong with saying "Wish him the best... but this is good for the team and here's why." A player who was never going to see the field just left and freed up a scholarsip for a potential blue chip recruit. I'm allowed to be happy about that while also wishing him the best.
COYS and lets go Detroit FC!
I dont know about any of your questions BUT....what about Levenberry and the whole "25 vs 28" scholarship situation? Has anybody considered how this impacts that yet?
I had forgotten this until I saw Brian's write-up on the front page, but he was the first player to commit to Hoke, so it is sad to see the then-commit (now redshirt freshman) which rather started this era of Michigan football. I would have to agree with others that he probably was fairly removed from playing substantial time by the way the depth chart was shaping up. Hopefully, he finds a place where he gets good minutes and can finish as a contributor - I wish Carter the best of luck.

Best of luck to the young man. I wonder if this gives us room for Kozan or Diggs though..

woooooow . . .Roy is hurt? where did this come from??
I don't know if this really opens any new spots at all. We still needed attrition to hit the number of commits we already have, so this could be some of that.

Hopefully Charlton realizes that these types of things happen all the time. I wouldn't think that this would impact him in the long-run (after all, they're two years apart in school), but it might be an interesting development to watch.
Farewell Tamani Carter, we hardly knew ye.
And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know it’s going to be Michigan again. Michigan!
I think it was pretty clear that Carter was going to be stuck near the bottom of the depth chart for a while. I don't know if that's why he left (nobody knows right now, really), but it was hard to see him getting on the field much.
Hopefully he lands on his feet.
Stop asking the same questions!
We were still over. Enough with the Levenberry/Mcquay crap! This isn't GoBlueWolverine...
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”

does this open up a spot for levenberry now and has mcquay committed ?
