Goodbye Denard

Submitted by AlphaBlue on
Thanks for all the memories you gave us. From your first play from scrimmage to ending our streak against ohio, you have created a legacy that is one of a kind in Michigan's storied history. You were a bright spot in the darkest days of our program and proved you were a true team player all the way to the very end!

Good luck in your future and thank you for being a true MICHIGAN MAN!

Outside of ending OSU streak, I can put aside my differences to say I enjoyed Denard playing. Best game was probably the Notre Dame game in 2011 to me. I like Denard off the field more, very interesting life as presented by MgoVideos and the Journey.

But I wish he would've put up better accuracy numbers and passing yardages, to gain more recognition, so debates wouldn't have to be made about how he can't hang with Michigan Elite's because of his lack of awards

so I'll join the chorus & hope I contribute one more voice to those who say thank you to Denard for staying with us through thick & thin.  You weren't perfect but I have no doubt you gave us your all & for that we are grateful.

It has been a privilege to watch Denard the last four years. I have been fortunate enough to have season tickets and watch Denard in person. Sometimes I don't think we all appreciated how truly great Denard is.

Thank you for leaving family and home to spend 4 years with us in the frigid north.  Thank you for staying when you could have left.  Thank you for the class, humility and joy you brought each and every time that you interacted with us.  Thank you for the excitement and anticipation that something special was about to happen every game, every time you touched the ball.  Thank you for never changing who you are in 4 years:  your smile, humbleness, and poise with which you played the game are forever ingrained in my family's Michigan football memories.

We wish you the best at whatever you next choose to do in life.

Thank you, #16.
