Good Webb article on Wormley
There is a nice fluff article by Sam Webb on the recruiting of DE Chris Wormley. (http://detnews.com/article/20101021/OPINION03/10210415/1131/sports0201/Wolverines--Buckeyes-lead-pursuit-of-Toledo-defensive-end) What a huge get this would be for the program! Obviously, no single player makes or breaks a class. But I am thrilled to see us recruiting more head to head with tOSU. For a while, it seemed that we were a step behind them, but no more.

Sounds like Chris has a great family and a very smart Girlfriend. Ok, who is going to be the one on this board to friend Chris on facebook and keep us updated on whether he's staying "in a relationship." Just kidding. No, but seriously...
Edit: Also, Toledo really does split communities in half.

I work with Chris' girlfriend's dad. I occasionally question him as to how Chris is feeling towards Michigan. He has continually reiterated to me that it will be a long process. He doesn't try to pressure Chris into a decision. However, he has said that he does mention the benefits of Michigan educationally and as everyone has read he has always been high on Michigan. He also told me that Chris and his daughter may head up to the Wisconsin game.

Good luck to the kid, and his family seems to be great support. Hopefully, he will make the right decision. Too bad for us that his family isn't more like Spielman's.

Thanks for sharing this. What a nice supportive family Wormley has at home. He would be a huge recruit for us next year and so far I think we are in really good position for him. Helps that his whole family and girlfriend's family are UM fans.

And surrounded by redneck Ohio State fans but they are bringing in 3 DE's this year. This is definitely one of those win and we get him type of things because i'm sure their recent dominance of the rivalry has people in his ear.

These are the kind of recruits we must bring in over the next years. With the Ohio State winning streak against us we need to be careful not to be an after thought to the new generation of kids growing up in Ohio. In order to continue to recruit this football-rich we need to get back to winning regularily against Ohio State and do it with great players from Ohio (ie. Woodson, Howard etc.)
