Happy Good Friday all and GO BLUE!
"Rodrick Williams Jr.'s 10-month old, 2-foot-long savannah monitor named "Kill" gets the RB some strange looks when they go for walks together."
And Go Wings tonight!
Did you call?
I could totally see myself doing something like that if skype had existed 3 decades ago.
Agree! I would like to see the Wings make it to the second round.
Blimpy, Slippery Rock, and a Posbang?! Yes please!
Congrats. I'm not too far ahead of you, but man these posbangs sure bump your point total up fast.
because we all know what wonderful things you can do with your MGoBlog points.
Yeah, can someone posbang me to 3000 points, please? You gotta get a free t-shirt or something for that, right? right? (crickets...)
Finally Friday! Going up north, brewing a Double IPA with my pops, hanging with my girlfriend and eating some great food on Sunday... its gonna be a good weekend!
8U baseball game on Saturday and big Easter ham on Sunday.
You mean Spring Holiday ham, right?
got work today... but hopefully have a nice scotch when i get home
What will you be sipping on?
Just picked up a Caol Ila last night, but it's not as good as I remembered. More tests are needed.
Jesus approves of this posbang.
This weekend, possibly beginning with today if I can find the motivation, will be spent planning the vegetable garden that my daughter seems to want to start. We will actually sit down with some guides on things that will grow well in southeastern Michigan and I will let her select the veggies as well. I might tack on some that aren't fast-maturing so I can have a personal project, but in the case of my daughter, I an going to shoot for stuff that she can harvest relatively quickly (which, for some edible plants, is 60 days or so) so we can maximize the accomplishment here.
My other projected accomplishments are, as usual, sports, grilling and drinking with various family events built around that since it is a holiday weekend.
planning to start my first vegetable garden this spring - can you point me in the direction of the southeastern michigan specific stuff? so far i've been reading general stuff and i'm afraid what i'm learning won't apply in this climate. good luck with the project!
Is it OK to plant outside yet? I have some herbs/veggies in pots indoors that I picked up at a farmer's market last weekend, but the Monday/Tuesday cold snap made me spooked to put them in the ground.
Edit: This website says the last frost in Grand Rapids is usually around May 16... so I think I'll wait a weekend or two. My daughter would be pretty upset if she helped me plant things and then they all died.
have cold weather that will kill the plants and you would be forced to start over. I haven't had a garden in years but my dad never planted before Memorial Day and he grew up on a farm.
Of course if it's small enough and you plan ahead, you can cover the plants if it gets too cold.
taught me a lot about gardening. He almost always had peas in the ground by April 1st, followed soon after by cabbage, broccoli, and/or cauliflower. Most of the other stuff had to wait until early-to-mid May in the GR area, later yet the further north one lives.
Barbecuing (lamb) and Drinking (Centennial IPA). Good times.
This weekend = lots of alcohol and lots of golf
watching the Tigers and Wings tonight. Hoping the Tigs don't have to dip into the bullpen in the 5th or 6th yet again tonight.
this week, dammit.
what a convenient time for a triple post... :-)
of pace for me. Usually I fuck up at the worst possible moment!
whoever gave that last upvote. 10,000 MgoPoints for me. "I'd like to thank the Academy for this prestigous honor, I'd like to thank all the people who helped me along the way, especially LSA for keeping me out of trouble..." *queue music...
Outline for property class! Whooooooooooooooo
Being a lawyer is turrible. Get out while you still can.
I second that.
Let's go Red Wings.
I'm not actually gonna practice, I'm going into policy stuff. Getting a masters at SNRE as well. I think I'll be ok.
I have always said that if I won the lottery one of the things I would do is go to law school. All of my attorney friends said, "no, don't!"
...and Go Blue!
Off work today, just boarded a plane in Chicago, heading to New Orleans for my friends bachelor weekend.
Also, its my birthday. That's gotta be worth a Friday bang or two?
Looking forward to what I think will be a closely contested series. The future is bright with so many young guys stepping up. Hopefully we can get Zetterberg back soon.
Sounds like they ruled Z out of the Boston series but are hoping for a return in round 2.
Of four off with beautiful weather here in Memphis. Time for some house work, bike rides and family time!
