But that sucked, and was incredibly deflating after that late game run. However, this team should be better next year and things are looking up for MBB program. Great effort indeed though. GO BLUE!

It's natural to think that way but D Mo was running down the court and may not have been aware of where everyone was.  Even if he was, the pass could've been tipped or our guy could have been covered by the time he put up the shot.  Morris was hitting that runner today too, so as much as I would have liked to see a 3, I think he made the right play by driving.

Great season with a hard fought finish.  Next year we close out more of these tight games against #1 teams.

Look at the last play again.  Douglas is WIDE WIDE open to Darius's right.  I mean nobody within 15 feet of him open.  There's the shot for the win.

Not being critical at ALL of Darius taking the shot though.   Just saying if you want the 3 there was a better look than Timmy available.

Definitely.   They could have packed it in a couple of times and no one would have said a word, but they fought the whole way through against a great time and came up just a little short.   Already looking forward to next season!

A lot of people quit on this team during the game but these guys believe in each other and respond every time they are down. Johnny B. should be coach of the year in this fans opinion.

I can't believe some people are taking shots at Morris for that shot. He put the team on his shoulders down the stretch like he's done all year and got an open shot he's hit all year. Some shots you make, others you don't. But we wouldn't have had a shot, in this game or in the season if it wasn't for Morris.

I'm really starting to believe that Joh Beilein will build a pretty damn good basketball program.

Go Blue!

i'm sure the dookies had to run off the court quickly to change their shorts.

i can't think of a team with so much heart; especially considering their youth.

But came up short. Overall I'm thankful for these young men who weren't expected to achieve the level of success they reached. Proud of them all and GO BLUE!!

Good game.  I thought this would be a close one and that M would beat the spread, but they unfortunately didn't have what it took to beat Duke in the third round.  We were definitely helped by Duke missing quite a few FTs in the first half, but we were clearly the lesser of the two teams--against a squad returning two starters from last year's Tournament Champion team.

Bottom line, we have limitless potential and I think we represented extremely well against No. 1 and No. 2 teams this year.  I'm amazed we managed to get so many top-2 match-ups this year, but that's what happens when you play in the B1G, schedule an OOC vs. Kansas, and play #1 Duke in the third round.  Returning 100% of the starters from this year's team, as well as having some seniors, will help next year.  We're definitely looking at a solid NCAA Tourney team in 2011-2012.

Great game. Many thought we wouldbe blown out and eaten alive by Duke, but 73-71 is not a blow out. We stayed with them for much of it and came damn near at the end. This makes me feel warm and fuzzy about next season in the Big Ten and even in the Tournament. Excellent times ahead, for sure. GO BLUE!

The team is so young...good things are coming down the road.  AND we swept MSU.  That feels good whether MSU had a down year or not.

MBB is back on the map.

Nothing but pride for the team.  I was texting with one of my MSU boys and he said he is jealous of the heart of our team.  Sparty is definitely going the opposite direction.  Love the team and future,  Can't wait for Brundidge and Burke next season.

Today was still a good day even though I missed a triple double by one point.

I know I probably speak for a lot of us when I say that I am very proud of this team. They're really young and faced some big time adversity early in the season when 1-6 and last in the B1G. They fought back, turned around their season and gave the 1 seed a run for their money in the NCAA Tourney. Bright future for these guys and kudos for the coaching staff for developing these young players both physically and mentally so quickly.

Duke is not just a #1 seed.  They are the defending national champions.  It doesn't make this game a literal win for us, but it adds to why I am so damn proud of our guys.

We are going to start out next season ranked #15.  Of course, that number will get smaller and smaller as the season progresses.
