Anyone know what's going on with this?

"Until recently the athletic department arranged visits every week at Mott’s Children’s Hospital, and our guys have been very involved there."

Did the athletic department stop arranging visits?

I was going to include this in the next lax roundup post, but you've beaten me to the punch.

It's always good to hear from Coach Paul, and it definitely seems like the more he speaks, the closer Michigan sounds to achieving varsity status.

Interesting that the varsity question never even comes up in this.  JP mentions D1 coaching at the end, but the interviewer never asks about the plans.  Maybe he can't really talk about it right now.  There was an article about lacrosse in the Daily the other day, and his answer about the varsity question was positive but non-commital.

I played for JP closer to the start of his college coaching career.  I consider him a friend now.  It's amazing for those of us who played to watch how far he's taken the program, and it's obvious how much he's grown as a coach.  I'm very proud of him and the team, and I'm excited for the future.

Although this is late, as far as JP and I discussing NCAA, the most that would show up is him saying, "Although were are excited at the prospect of making the jump to the next level, I currently can't make a comment on the status."  I also made sure anything he answered he felt comfortable with everyone knowing, including how much they pay for dues and the inner workings of the team.  The best aspect of talking to him so much is the fact he is very open, within reason, and extremely helpful.  If you guys want anything particular, let Tim and I know!  Tim does a tremendous job as well covering the team, and as him and I have discussed, we are all about the lacrosse team and expanding the coverage of the sport!
