Golf Courses are closed!!

Submitted by mxair23 on

I verified with AAGOC and also a friend that works security. They both confirmed that the golf course will be closed.

EDIT: AAGOC will be open to members and those with tickets only not to the general public.

... is apparently an AM call.

No idea on Pioneer's plans.

Some spots still available on Park-N-Party if you want to lock something down.

"As many as 1,500 people hoping to park at the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing Club will have to find another place to tailgate for Saturday's Michigan football game."

"An employee at the University of Michigan Golf Course said he's fielded hundreds of calls asking if the university's course will be open for tailgating on Saturday.

He said a decision won't be made until morning but it will be announced over several radio stations."

If it keeps raining for a few more hours like it's raining right now, I don't see any scenario where that morning decision will be to open the course for parking.

Is this finally going to be the wake-up call the University needs for a serious reassessment of the parking situation for Michigan Stadium?  Even with the golf courses open, with the color-coded lots parking an all-time low amount of cars due to Crisler construction, handicap and numbered premium seating parking eating up huge amounts of the Blue Lot, and other shifts in lot availability, and Elbel no longer available, it's high time something is actually done about this.

Methinks tomorrow is going to be a triumphant logjam by 10AM.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
