Michigan won every puck in the 3rd. I just kept watching thinking "Destiny". I've never seen a better defensive effort than I saw in the 3rd. Incredible Hockey and those Michigan players should be hailed from coast to coast.

Melrose didnt even try to hide his hard on for the Sioux or his disdain for UM. From the first period until the empty netter he was convinced ND was going to win. Sorry Barry take your mullet back up north!
To be fair, he pretty much had a Hunwick-on starting midway through the second. And his pregame assessment was not so much "biased" as "correct" (see the preview). And Michigan hung onto that by the skin of their teeth.
Barry is a crafty Canuck. I suspect he knew Michigan would win and wanted to increase the drama.

a lesser goalie wouldve let in 4+. if hunwick was having a bad day, i couldve easily seen nodak hanging 7 on us. they were all over us but hunwick was insane. truly the best goaltending performance ive ever seen
