Going to the game this Saturday?

Submitted by king_kerridge on

I am going to be in Indianapolis visiting the fiance' this weekend, and since West Lafayette is only an hour away, I am gonna make the trip to watch the game.

Has anyone ever been there for a Michigan game before? Is it like Indiana where I can easily find tickets for cheap before the game, or will this take a little more effort/planning?

Thanks in advance.

I live in Lafayette Purdue never have a sell-out only if the play a top 5 team or IU. Most of the time you can walk up and get in for $20.

W. Lafayette is cheap as hell, especially compared to A2. Tix will ~$20. I was considering doing the same thing as you to try make it back to A2 for the ND hockey game. You can easily find free parking on campus. There is a lot of free parking on Waldron. The stadium is on the north side of campus next to Northwestern Ave.

You will find a lot of Michigan fans at the public tailgate at the Intramural field on 3rd street across from Hillenbrand and Shreve Halls. Bars I cannot answer specifically for an offical Michigan bar for weekend as the last time I was at a Michigan at Purdue game was my senior year at Purdue (2004) and I tailgated with my family. I remember a lot of visiting fans went to the usual visiting fan friendly bars like B Dubs at Wabash Landing (east State St at the bottom of the hill next to the Wabash River) and Brothers on State (at the top of the Hill, between Andrew and Grant). Make sure you at least get one drink at Charlies Chocolate Shop (across from Brothers).

So, all through out my undergrad  (after I turned 21) I went to the neon cactus. I would love to get a huge Michigan contingent in Piano bar at the neon cactus.

I have gotten Bruce to play the Victors after I was accepted to Michigan for grad school (I had to outbid my fellow graduating boilers...ended up paying $50).

If you go to Purduesports.com tickets page------> http://ev9.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/evenue/ev69/se/DisplayPromoList.d2w/report?linkID=purdue&RSRC=&RDAT=&caller=PR

Then type in MISEZ for the promotion code you get those $20 endzone seats for $10

If you don't want endzone seats we still have $56 tickets between the 35 yardlines on the east side of the stadium. They are pretty great seats. Not sure if these are available online but you can call the ticket office to request them at 1-800-49-SPORT

We still have 15,000 tickets left.... so its safe to say no sell out. Please don't buy from scalpers we had an issue with over 25 tickets being sold near the stadium last saturday that were void. The guy was ripping people off left and right. Best part is he was selling them for more than the ticket office was and they were worse seats!

Let me know if you have any questions. I always love to help out my fellow Michigan Fans.

Tickets will be plentiful, you will be doing some walking from the parking to RossAde, and the noise will be minimal. Sit with the Michigan faithful in the end zone. You will still be close to the field, amongst friends, and will have a great time. If you have a chance to have a beer on campus, go to Harry's.
