"Great Canadians Throughout History"
The thing only had four chapters discussing Wayne Gretzky, Alex Trebec (the world's smartest man), the guy who invented the jean jacket, and the first man to legally marry a moose.
Rumor has it that a new edition will include the LA Kings equipment manager, because he gets to sit so close to Jack Johnson while he tapes his stick.
America, FUCK YEAH!

They took out the guy who invented the jean jacket...
February 28th, 2010 at 3:13 PM ^
The list of Great Canadians begins and ends with William Shatner.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:54 PM ^
What are you talking about?!? Austin was British! Oh . . . you meant Mike Myers.
February 28th, 2010 at 3:03 PM ^
Am I the only one who thinks the "Go Canada Go" cheer has too many syllables? They have to say "Canada" really fast (it sounds more like "Can'da") to make it fit and even then it sounds odd.
They should just say "Can-a-da." Dueling "U-S-A" and "Can-a-da" chants would be awesome.
February 28th, 2010 at 3:03 PM ^
USA all the way. You think if they're losing in the 3rd period they'll come out with mighty ducks unis on?
February 28th, 2010 at 3:07 PM ^
against changing jerseys between periods..."

Biggest game in hockey history? Jeremy, you may have been awesome in NHL '94, but no, just no.

Watching a sporting event without the TV timeouts.
February 28th, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
...but is the US team playing a much less physical game this time out?
I don't think trying to pass and skate with Canada is going to be a great long term strategy for the US.
February 28th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
Hopefully Johnson set the tone for the 2nd period with the late hit there.
February 28th, 2010 at 3:59 PM ^
Should we put up a liveblog so idiots like me who scheduled their trip back home during the game, and can't watch the game because 45345 million people on the train to Toronto are trying to stream it at the same time?

This one's for Colonel Custer. We're gonna beat them worse than we did the Germans for bombing Pearl Harbor.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:14 PM ^
Let's even this up now.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:17 PM ^
Looking kinda bleak now.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:20 PM ^
is there ever a good time?
February 28th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
But I would have gladly traded these for saves in a game like one we start out 6-0 in the first.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
Fuck Canada!
February 28th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
great early whistle there ugh
February 28th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
All the breaks we got last game are taking bad bounces this game. Could be 2-2.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
didn't read the revised international play rule book. apparently canada did given crosschecks, elbows and holding are no longer called. oh and goaltender interference. that one didn't make it across the washington border.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:28 PM ^
YEAHHHHHHHH
February 28th, 2010 at 4:28 PM ^
Well, we can at least put a scare into the crowd now. Keep Canada on the edge of it's seats.
February 28th, 2010 at 4:28 PM ^
at least until the NHL season resumes
February 28th, 2010 at 4:47 PM ^
...he's the only US forward consistently capable of skating with anyone on the Canadian team. Kesler has also looked pretty good in the second period.
