Go U-M Ice Dancers! (Not much else in Olympics tonight)
Going to skate soon, and here's to hoping they do to the Canadian team at home what the hockey team did last night, shock them on their home ice, and in this case, bring home the Gold!
And Tanith, baby, if you could pull out a medal too, that'd be great too...the Germans are getting too close inthe medal count, cutting our lead to 3...

"Strange state of affairs at Michigan when the you're better known for ice dancing than football."
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:10 PM ^
I'll take what I can get.
Maybe this will be the start of a turnaround...
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:11 PM ^
You should text him back 'not so strange state of affairs at Syracuse when you're known for being horrible at everything except basketball and even worse when it comes to performing under the bright lights in that'

Bates and Samuelson do their season's best. Good show for them!
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:20 PM ^
The NBC cameras just caught a big Block M flag up in the stands as they were panning the crowd. Very cool!
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
I'm DVRing it so I can watch Tanith over and over over and over. errrr, am I being too creepy?
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:42 PM ^
I was just thinking that Samuelson was awfully...shapely...for a skater. But still flexible. And Tanith would top my sexiest athlete pole. But obviously you may be asking the wrong person. I find Tanith topping my pole amusing. I'm 12.
Edit: enjoy it while you can. They just advertised "Ladies Night" tomorrow for skating, and it should be little girl's night, because they all look 12. Eye candy ends tonight, my friend. (Other than Saturday's performances...)

Vonn and Mancuso have two more races to run. They aren't exactly hard on the eyes
February 23rd, 2010 at 12:36 AM ^
Mancuso more than Vonn.
When it comes to the Olympics in general, though, nothing can ever top womens beach volleyball. Nothing.
February 23rd, 2010 at 1:45 AM ^
I think Mancuso is WAY underrated. Lost in all the love for Vonn and the X-Game skier/boarders.
However, beach volleyball is ok, if your dream woman came right out of Avatar.
February 23rd, 2010 at 1:44 AM ^
And when they were showing another preview for tomorrow, one of the Japanese challengers (not the favorite..Miki Ando?) looked older, and easy on the eyes. But yes, we will always have Alpine...

"a medal would be better than a michigan football game" theres a few i would trade a medal for lately
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:55 PM ^
nice little footage of charlie and meryl at the michigan union before they skate
"the only thing in the world thats better than a michigan football game, would be winning a gold medal" - Smart kid!!
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:58 PM ^
Union & Law Quad on camera, M flag, and a shout out to Michigan Football!!!!!!
February 22nd, 2010 at 10:57 PM ^
In addition to all of the Michigan shoutouts I appreciated,
"We may not be able to make it to the bar every Friday night."
"Or any night."

Between Canada's awfulness in these Olympics and the Russians whining about American skating wins whether the judged will give us a fair shake tonight.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:11 PM ^
My girlfriend is good friends with Meryl Davis. Let's hope for the best!
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:22 PM ^
I'm clueless about ice dancing... I was impressed.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 PM ^
I hate that I have no idea if what the judges do is just or not. I've seen enough Olympics to tell in regular skating has a jump with a shaky landing or such. The footwork and all in this? Totally beyond me.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 PM ^
I bet they both get banged by Sigma Nu's next week.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:30 PM ^
Sigma Nerds?
February 23rd, 2010 at 12:41 AM ^
If I knew you, I would Fuck. You. Up.
February 23rd, 2010 at 12:44 AM ^
They read this board? Better hope your email address doesn't get outed like the hapless Spartan last week.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:24 PM ^
I'm no ice dancing expert but, damn. They just tore that shit up out there! They are sitting in 1st place. GO BLUE!!
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:25 PM ^
Personal best in all 3 rounds. Can't ask any more out of them. Now it's up to the judges. Or if we could get the Canadians and Russians to fall on their asses, that would be swell too.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:27 PM ^
Dancers, sieve, dancers, sieve, dancers, sieve!!!
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:38 PM ^
Well, shit
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:41 PM ^
Damnit Canada. Let's trade that hockey victory for a Michigan gold medal.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:39 PM ^
have Ice Dancing. We'll take Hockey.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:44 PM ^
Yeah, well, let's hope they don't get both.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:43 PM ^
right?
Nothing good is allowed to happen in 09-10.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:47 PM ^
Well, they're guaranteed a medal now. Let's hope Belbin/Agosto can cling onto 3rd.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:43 PM ^
Tanith Belbin is hot.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:47 PM ^
canucks. Have to take away UofM gold because they can't win a hockey game. Not cool canada. Not cool.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:52 PM ^
These Russian skaters just annoy me.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:56 PM ^
Hey, NBC, how about hiring a color commentator who isn't fucking Canadian?!?
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:57 PM ^
Give them their small victories, we all know what happens after this coming Sunday.
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:58 PM ^
Congrats to Davis and White, U-M Olympic Silver Medalists! U wuz robbed!
