Go Navy! Beat Army!

Submitted by bighouseinmate on

I don't know the makeup of the board and their affiliation, if any, to either the Navy or Army, but wanted to post a topic for people to voice their own support.

I am a Navy veteran of just over 10 years and have always watched the game and supported Navy. For anyone else who is a veteran, what say you?

I'm not a vet but went to the Central game at Navy earlier this year and dispite the heartbreaking lost in the final minute it was one of the best expirences I've had a football game. Rooted for Navy before that and I'll root even harder now. Go Navy! Beat Army!

I'm not a vet either, but I just want to thank all those on this board and anyone not on it for their service. We would not be here if it weren't for you.

I'm just hoping for a good game. I'm partial to neither team so I will just enjoy it.

As a Marine that did not attend an academy, I wholeheartedly throw my support behind Army.  Academy grads are insufferable...Michigan State insufferable.

Thanks for your service to your country bighouseinmate, and all other vets and current military on the board. But I am always for Army. Go Army! Beat Navy!

I cheer for Army because my dad, my brother, and I went there for a game about 5 years ago.  Great experience and great fight song.  On Brave Ol' Army Team!  And they've lost to Navy so many times in a row so I want them to finally win one.

Navy vet. And while I agree that Academy grads are a pain in the ass, I'd say that goes for all the academies, especially Air Force. I just got back from the Big Chill. Man, what a great time that was.

on or near Army posts, Air Force bases, and I saw the USS John F. Kennedy before she had a flight deck. Given the proximity to the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I rooted for Navy this year in honor of my cousin, whose body was never recovered.

I root for Army as well, but I can't help remembering all the mornings at Ft. Sill when my alarm clock was the atomic cannon. Despite that, next year, in honor of a distant relative who was a member of the Continental Army, I will be pulling for Army.
