Go to the Joe Friday night
I just picked up a pair of tix on the glass for Friday night's game against Miami @ 8:00 pm. The tickets were only $16 each -- on the glass!
If you're not doing anything else (and you're local), please make an effort to get down to the Joe and support the hockey team.
Great seats abound (obviously). The price is right. And, most importantly, Sparty won't be there to annoy you....
2 for 1 tix are available at www.ticketmaster.com using promo code: CCHA2010. That's how I got glass seats for $16.
Hope to see a good turnout down there. GO BLUE!
UPDATE: mgotailgate @ The Old Shillelagh pre-game.
i'm going and wondering if they'll be serving alcohol like they do for red wings games. not sure if there are ccha rules that would make this not be the case.

yes there will be. just stand behind me in the beer line -- no cuts.
If this were an NCAA event, then the beer taps are turned off; there will be no beer at the Frozen Four at Ford field because it is an NCAA event.
I've had beer at the GLI before...
Beer will be served.
yeah baby.
This will be my first M hockey game--I'm going with three of my friends.
GO BLUE!
Edit: we're in row 2!
If you choose to do the C-ya chant, you may get an angry letter from Bill Martin. Watch yo Jen self.

unattached hot women, aged 24-33, with insatiable appetites for alcohol and bad choices?
I'm asking for a friend.
This post should be on the front page of MGoBoard until the start of the game tomorrow. People need to get their act together. Everyone needs to have a few cocktails beforehand, and really create an advantage.
Everyone will have had nearly 48 hours to recover from St. Patrick's Day. So no excuses...

We'll see if tomorrow's poster gets harassed for a duplicate post. Hopefully not.
If it also includes a link to the "Last Wolverine dies in Michigan" story, it might get harassed. Otherwise, people will likely let it slide.
dont get seats down by the glass. hang out in the upper bowl with the student section and the band. feels more like yost up there
i'm in row 13 and will punch anyone who yells "down in front" from row 14. :)

I promise.
On the glass. Soooo jacked for the game
We're in Section 109, Row 1 (right next to the visitor's penalty box). Probably be seeing a lot of Llewellyn up close...

Sounds like a very possible plan. The only hockey game (unfortunately) I've been to was at the Joe last year against MSU. It was awesome seeing us demolish them. They do in fact serve beer there during college hockey games. I spent half the night discussing Michigan football with a woman at least 40 years older than me. I want to be exactly like her when I'm that age.
I really, really need to go to a game at Yost.

I am in Dallas or I would be there. Hope we get a strong showing of Blue there. $16 for glass? No excuses if you're close.
...for the Sir Mix-a-Lot reference.

I will be there with friends and family. An Alum friend of mine has a neighbor who is VP of Olympia, so I get as many free tickets as I want. I have 7 for both nights.
Let me know if you need free tickets, and I will do my best to hook you up.
Go Blue.

And to think, I read the thread title and figured that maybe the Michigan Theater was having a "Joe Friday Night" and Judge Smails was a big fan of classic tv.
Section 107, Row 5. I'll be the guy in the Maize hockey sweater.
“I know as a player it’s important,” Michigan coach Red Berenson said of the fan support. “It definitely is important. That’s the reason any team in sports has a better home record than a road record. And the fans, and the support they give at home it’s huge. Could that be a factor? It could be.”

to a hockey game, and I'm a student. Sad day. I will be (hopefully) watching it on TV though. Make me proud, Wolverine fans =].

I will be there too in row 17. Where's the best place to park?
March 19th, 2010 at 11:18 AM ^
Redhawks' mascot, if you see him.

JLA has an attached garage. It can be a pain to get out of there sometimes though. Best bet is to park near a local watering hole and take their suttle. We'll be doing that at the Old Shillelagh.
Thanks for the idea and link, Judge. Just bought a pair in Row 3, Sec 104. Got a friend coming in from Grand Blanc - we'll do Mexican Town then hit JLA for the game. Go Blue!!!!
