I hope Ferris can bring another nc to the state of Michigan.

When i first started out at ferris Kunitz was dominating there, the rest of my years at ferris consisted of inconsistent teams and nothing to cheer for.

Hopefully they can come back and win it for the CCHA, Big Rapids, and the state of michigan

Very happy Bob Daniels decided to stay at Ferris and not take the Michigan State job. I can only imagine what he could have done with more talent at MSU.

This is the 5th largest crowd ever for a frozen for championship. I fully expect that all of you who criticized choosing Tampa Bay because "it'll be an empty building" and "no one cares about hockey there" will be posting an acknowledgement of your misunderstanding of this hockey market, of fans' willingness to travel and that the NCAA actually got this one right. This is a far better hockey market than any of you were (and probably still are) willing to give credit for.

I was actually shocked by this as well, but a lot of schools are on break for perfect timing as well.

And if ferris is still doing what they did when I went there, then they still have an easter "break"  where they get a long wkend and I believe monday off.

Not sure if that is still the case, but it was when i was there.  Probably helped some of their fans get down there as well.

There is a better chance that you end up in a gorilla cage with a horny gorilla, than that happening.  Also, I've been to a game in Tampa and the atmosphere was great.

The attendance was more than I expected.  Other than grossly inflated concession prices, the Tampa Bay Times Forum is a decent place to watch a game.  Also, a trip to Florida at the end of spring is a nice perk for fans thinking of attending.

Tampa and the Tampa Bay area do a very good job of making visitors feel at home, and have had plenty of practice with events that dwarf this one.

As for me, I didn't go.  Count me in with the guy who posted that he is still pissed that Michigan didn't make it to the Frozen Four this year.

I don't know if video of this will ever appear, but holy crap did Chad Billins make an incredible play with 6-7 minutes left in the game. Maybe some of you remember it. He was at the point, stepped around a sliding defensemen and then walked right around another BC forward and fed someone at the backdoor who couldn't finish. It pretty much blew my mind. I don't know if I've ever seen as pretty of a play in college hockey, especially from a mid-level CCHA team
