Go Ferris State (MI) national championship thread
BC 1-0 four minutes in
I hate BC so much... I refer to them as Notre Dames little brother.
Ferris ties it up 1-1. 14 minutes left in the first
I cant neg from a phone, but why are you posting irrelevant comments? This is Mgoblog fergodsakes.
The BC throwbacks look awesome
Dumolin puts BC up 2-1. Maybe a high stick though
Edit: Goal is good, scored by Carey
This is its only sport
BC might be a great team, but Bob Daniels has a great gameplan tonight. His team is executing perfectly.
So why does every school play Can't Turn Me Loose in every sporting event? Weren't we the first to use it in that manner?
Ferris has outplayed BC in the 2nd period but has nothing to show for it. They need to capitalize on an opportunity soon.
Power Play for FSU is fucking pathetic.
The powerplay is the opportunity for Ferris to win this game. You can't expect a team like BC to stay down forever.
Let's go ferris!
Ferris is playing just about as well as possible. Hopefully they can sneak one in soon.
Also, some of these fsu chicks...bwuhhhh.
Buzz's girlfriend, woof.
When i first started out at ferris Kunitz was dominating there, the rest of my years at ferris consisted of inconsistent teams and nothing to cheer for.
Hopefully they can come back and win it for the CCHA, Big Rapids, and the state of michigan
Very happy Bob Daniels decided to stay at Ferris and not take the Michigan State job. I can only imagine what he could have done with more talent at MSU.
Go no one. Nothing happens. There are no champions. Decent game though. There is no game.
Man FSU can't keep the puck for more than a few seconds. Brutal.
What do you mean. I'm very worried that Anastos will be the next Ron Mason. With his coaching there is no way State can lose.
Well there that goes. Sometimes Goliath wins.
I'm sick of seeing BC win it
I just switched from the Blue Jackets game back to this and I missed 2 minutes and 17 seconds of Shawn Hunwick.
This is the 5th largest crowd ever for a frozen for championship. I fully expect that all of you who criticized choosing Tampa Bay because "it'll be an empty building" and "no one cares about hockey there" will be posting an acknowledgement of your misunderstanding of this hockey market, of fans' willingness to travel and that the NCAA actually got this one right. This is a far better hockey market than any of you were (and probably still are) willing to give credit for.
Color me shocked. They just need to not have regionals in stupid locations.
I was actually shocked by this as well, but a lot of schools are on break for perfect timing as well.
And if ferris is still doing what they did when I went there, then they still have an easter "break" where they get a long wkend and I believe monday off.
Not sure if that is still the case, but it was when i was there. Probably helped some of their fans get down there as well.

There is a better chance that you end up in a gorilla cage with a horny gorilla, than that happening. Also, I've been to a game in Tampa and the atmosphere was great.
Sucks that the team I really wanted to win came up just short in two straight years. Would've been awesome to see Ferris win
Still quite the accomplishment for Ferris St. Boston College is just alot more talented than, well, everybody pretty much.
The attendance was more than I expected. Other than grossly inflated concession prices, the Tampa Bay Times Forum is a decent place to watch a game. Also, a trip to Florida at the end of spring is a nice perk for fans thinking of attending.
Tampa and the Tampa Bay area do a very good job of making visitors feel at home, and have had plenty of practice with events that dwarf this one.
As for me, I didn't go. Count me in with the guy who posted that he is still pissed that Michigan didn't make it to the Frozen Four this year.
I don't know if video of this will ever appear, but holy crap did Chad Billins make an incredible play with 6-7 minutes left in the game. Maybe some of you remember it. He was at the point, stepped around a sliding defensemen and then walked right around another BC forward and fed someone at the backdoor who couldn't finish. It pretty much blew my mind. I don't know if I've ever seen as pretty of a play in college hockey, especially from a mid-level CCHA team
Sucks that BC won.
Would have been cool if Ferris St. won but congrats to BC.
