the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection
Glenn Robinson is now a 5 star on Espn
But Burke was Mr. Basketball in Ohio, which was held by Sullinger, OJ Mayo, and Lebron. He's really good.

Im sure interest in our newest recuit is sure to Spike as well.
Scout is, I believe, done updating their rankings, so he'll stay a 4 there.

I'm going to throw myself off of something. Because gossip and hysteria are the province of women alone!

Coaches saw the talent the whole time, this is simply a validation of what the coaches saw long ago.
His dad was one of the better college basketball players of all time. Someone should have picked up on this. Granted, he doesn't play like his dad, or have the same body. But come on...they even have the same name. Stauskas and Zak(arie) Irvin are a few other examples of him gettin in early on guys that have blown up since we found them. Can't wait for Mark Donnal too. Gonna be a hell of a team if we can retain GRIII for a while, and even if we cant.
Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
Counterpoints are the two Jordan sons (Marcus and Jeffrey)

Genes can only go so far.
Even GR3 himself understood JB's eye for talent. He said that is was a huge deal for him that we offered him early and stuck with him the whole way through.

Robinson is the number 18 overall and 5th SF
McGary is the 27th overall and 5th PF
Stauskas is the 76th overall and 21st SF
Della Valle is an 89 (very high 3*) and the 43rd SG
Albrecht is the 2,732nd overall and 237th PG (I joke, I'm actually excited for Albrecht)
With three guys in the top 100, It's crazy to me how we're not in the top ten. Oh well...

and having a 5 man class rather than a 3 man class is a big deal.
There is no time, sir, at which ties do not matter.
But the classes are roughly properly ranked. UK will probably pull Shabazz Muhammad and Nerlens Noel which will make me vomit but whatever. I think we move up if we pick up ADV. The monstrous 2013 class could become even more monstrous if we can grab another top 50 guy. I almost want Beilein to bank some scholarships and hope for a fab five type class for 2013. Bo Zeigler or Dominic Woodson would be nice.
Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
ESPN hasn't updated their team rankings to reflect their lastest updates to individual rankings. When it is all said and done, UM will have a top 10 class. Also, I think there is a much higher probability that Kentucky gets neither Noel and Muhammad than gets both. Noel will most likely stay on the east coast and go to Syracuse, while Muhammad will most likely stay on the west coast and go to UCLA. They may get one of the two, but it is highly unlikely they get both.
Interesting, I just said this under the assumption that Cal gets whomever he wants and they just won an NC and have sent boatloads of kids to the NBA via the lottery recently. However I don't follow recruiting outside the B10 so much. So thank you for the insight.
Except for the other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
Looking forward to having these young gentlemen on campus although I'm already cringing at the thought of the Glenn Robinson/Mitch McGary to the NBA threads
It may be my persecution complex talking, but is there any doubt that McGary keeps that fifth star if he signs with Duke?
Yes, it's your persecution complex, unless you think ESPN forgot that GR3 signed with Michigan.
Maybe it's just the pedigree. But Robinson seems to be the surest star in the bunch. His highlights are jaw-dropping. Beyond that, does anyone know why he expressed so little interest in following his dad's footsteps at Purdue? He's local royalty there. The Boilers wanted him. And he seems like a pretty good fit for Purdue's offense. Did he not want to follow in the footsteps of a legend? Or was it that everything just paled in comparison to Michigan?
That seems to have had a lot to do with it.

Glenn Robinson Jr., he would have been a Michigan Wolverines. He loved Michigan but I believe Fab 5 prevented it from happening. He was a beast at Purdue though.
Well, that speaks well of Robinson (and Beilein). A lot of kids would have forgotten that part as soon as the other offers started coming in.

If you're doing nothing, how do you know when you're finished?
Maybe Dylan and the UM Hoops gang does this, but are there Big Ten basketball recruiting class rankings anywhere, similar to what Ace (and formerly Tim) does with football? Just scanning through that list, looks like the top spot might be close between Michigan, Indiana, and msu, with Iowa in that next tier. But where is osu? They have no commits so far, although they do seem to be in on a couple of top 100 guys. Anyway, just wondering.
For my privacy, my new username is "non-Oriental non-Andrew"
apparently updating hte stale paragraph next to our team ranking is just too much work. Geesh. Still have MM as our highest rated player.
Be the change, I want you to be.
Loaded. As long as Illinois, Nebraksa Northwestern and Penn State don't participate, we're sweeping the Big Ten/ACC challenge. But seriously, you're looking at IU, MSU, UofM, in the top tier, then I'd say a shallow drop off before OSU (No recruits, but loaded 2011 class) and Wisconsin.
Then you're looking at very real sleeper contenders in Iowa, who lives to to run and notched an athletic class, and Minnesota with Mbakwe and residue of a decent core returning. Look for Iowa and Minny to do some damage...
The only Non-Bottom Feeder that could see a dropoff is Purdue, but they are very well coached and will not approach a meltdown of 2012 Illinois proportions... So, with returning talent and loading incoming talent, wins will be at an absolute premium every night with the rare breather in Lincoln or Champaign.
Good to know that we can compete and win in a conference that is so loaded, and that our confrence, in GENERAL does it the right way relative to some other programs, (cough cough) who have been on the national stage lately. I can say with a fair amount of confidence that none of our schools (Maybe minus OSU) would stoop to hiring a coach whose every notable accomplishment at previous schools has been stricken from the records) Happy to be in the nation's most consistent, relavent conference!!
GO BLUE!!!

For basketball recruiting I tend to trust ESPN. For football not so much.
