I know some people have been waiting for it to come out
It is out now
Do want
what cut Glen Rice gets on these sales...
I ordered mine on tuesday, I have been quite on top of the tiedman and Formby jerseys, which are quite nice. I guess some of the Cazzie Russell's should be in stock soon.
They also made the Kramer 87 and the Harmon 98 football jerseys
if only i were 16 again...

Is there something that prevents schools from using a former players name on a jersey? It clearly states on MDen "Tiedman & Formby University of Michigan Basketball Glen Rice '89 Throwback Jersey" but, no name on the actual jersey.
When Nike was in the picture they sold Tom Brady Orange Bowl throwbacks (with Brady on the back) and I bought (pre-scandal) a 1989 Rumeal Robinson throwback with the name on the back. Now I wish I could remove his name from the jersey . . .
What did Rumeal do?
The biggest free throws in Michigan basketball history and nothing will change that.
I wonder if he was wearing this one when he was "Nailin Palin "
It should come with the shorts, too.
there is a company that does produce retro basketball shorts, and I do believe they do have the 89 michigan basketball shorts
Are you talking Retro College Cuts? They don't have Michigan shorts, but they should.

Quality looks great.
Nike made some retro Michigan shorts from that uniform, and I still have and wear mine. They are now faded, but they're great. Too bad they don't have the home white ones.
So let me get this straight.
Basketball jerseys worn by people aren't okay. But basketball short-shorts are?
How about the shorts?
daam no michigan shorts, but this site does have some pretty cool shorts

there are some gems on that page. do you have a top 5 from that page? if i had that kind of cash to blow, mine would be:
1. LSU (shaq was my favorite player growing up)
2. Colorado (wow those colors)
3. Georgetown (simple but classic)
4. NC State (would gift it to my bro-in-law who teaches there)
5. Hawaii (I mean yeah why not?)
There's not enough highlighter yellow/maize on there my tastes. I'll pass until they come out with a version that can be seen from the space station.

basketball jerseys didnt look so bad on out of shape middle aged white guys, I'd buy one of these for sure.
is almost the same exact shot as the Sports Illustrated cover shot for the game. Great memories.
It's glorious.
Ordered along with MBB throwback worn for the rededication game!
Good vibes! I like this being sold...
I've owned a few over the years, including a Rice '89 throwback some other company was making back in the early 2000s, but I've still yet to find a situation where wearing a basketball jersey doesn't make you look like a total doofus. What am I missing here?
Nothing. Basketball jerseys don't look good, except on basketball players. I guess some guys can pull off the jersey-over-huge-tshirt look, but not me. In my lifetime of buying 50+ jerseys from major sports, I've never even been tempted by a basketball jersey.
Now, the shorts are another matter.
I've only owned one bball jersey (when I was 17), and felt like a tool whenever I wore it. Not doing that again.

Awesome!
I had the opportunity to watch Glen Rice during his entire M career when I had Crisler tickets.
Glen Rice is the best pure shooter in M BB history. He cemented that credential during the 1989 M-UNC Regional Semifinal when he scored 34 points on 13 of 19 (.684) from the floor (no FTs).
Glen Rice was a great player and a great credit to M and the BB program.
