And just after you posted this, he had another really nice 22-yarder on 4th down with just a few seconds left.

EDIT:  And the Eagles win!

The only thing that is missing from this catch and the 2003 catch is the Matrix slow motion effect, I would say. A very talented wide receiver indeed.

An embarrassing game to watch, really. The Bucs desperately need help at the CB position, and I hope they get aggresive in the draft and go after a lockdown guy.

Eric Wright is a bum who isn't worth half of what he's being paid, and the other guys manning the position now are either too young or simply just not talented enough to compete in the NFL. They allowed a backup rookie QB to throw for nearly 400 yds.

Wait a second.  So you're showing me a Michigan WR from Chicagoland who is having a successful NFL career?  If I were a WR recruit I would take notice.  Thanks for the info.

We had great seats, about 30 rows up near the 50, which wasn't particularly close to this catch. Even from where I was, it was immediately obvious what an awesome grab Avant had on that pass.

The other memorable thing for me was actually being right next to all the players as they exited the field for half time. Mentally, you know that some of the cornerbacks and receivers aren't all that big, but being at arms length as they passed by really brought that home. Great memory.

Class acts like Jason Avant would get to heist the Lombardi trophy during the twilight of their career. It's a shame the Eagles are about to rebuild. I hope some team on the doorstep is able to sign him.

Desean Jackson on his best day has a morsel of Avant's character.
