Gholston

I left myself signed in on this website yesterday and somebody hijacked my account...imagine my surprise when I log in to read about a possible Gholston decommitment and see my own screenname commenting on the situation. That being said, I had a pretty good laugh with the person who did it. Fucking hilarious. That being said, I don't know if I believe the Gholston rumour from yesterday. While I think it's very possible and perhaps probable that he decommits, the timing and source of the rumour is questionable. We'll see what happens in the next couple of days. That being said, whether or not he goes to MSU or Alabama doesn't matter to me. It's not even MSU that I care about...it's Dantonio. I love seeing the negative things pile up around this guy and love seeing the "chinks in his armor." I've always thought he was waay overrated (does he have any big wins, what is his record against top 25 teams) based on the way MSU fans and the local media have been treating him. The treat him like Jesus Christ for god's sake. I guess 6-6 seasons are what gets you contract extensions around EL? That being said, I don't think the rumour about Gholston is true. Unless he commited to us, it doesn't matter to me either way, other than the "hahaha Dantonio" factor.

Well after the way we finished the season I think someone could probably make a case that we were not a "real" top 25" team this year...Maybe...I'm just saying Please dont neg me

While the media lapdogs are still kissing Saint Dantonio's ring, this would be a huge sign that the parents and coaches of recruits are indeed taking notice of what is going on at Misdemeanor State. If I were recruiting against them right now, I would ask one question: "Do you really want to risk having YOUR son spend four of the most important years of his life in that environment?" If, as said in the movie Glengarry Glen Ross, "coffee is for closers," it has just become a lot easier for anyone recriting against MSU to "urn" a few cups of coffee.

"That being said," you should bring some righteous justice upon those who may have used your account. Especially if they are friends or family members who were on your home computer.

Does anyone think there is any chance at all that if gholston does decommit that RR could get him to at least consider Michigan? I know it is probably beyound a long shot but cant help but to think about it

THREEE AWW....We have absolutely no insecurity and obsession with MSU. That's your game brother. I can assure you that, despite the 3-9 & 5-7 records, I would MUCH rather have our situation right now than yours. We have the ability and tools to pinpoint and fix our problems - our team is extremely young, there is not a lot of quality depth yet, and the scheme changes take time for a team to develop. I can assure that as this team grows and RichRod's guys turn into upperclassmen, we will be much better and competing for Big Ten Championships again. Hopefully national championships will be on our radar as well....as long as RichRod can figure out how to build a defense (which is my true, only concern with him.) We have no insecurity or fear of MSU whatsoever. I can assure you of that. Your team program is riddled with off the field criminal problems, so much that it is almost woven into the fabric of your program. Additionally, Dantonio shoulders the blame for much of this due to his past disciplinary decisions. Yes - Rich Rodriguez's record at Michigan is crap and he is 100% on the hottest seat in America right now. But let's be honest, do you think that if Rich Rodriguez had Dantonio's record after year three - no bowl wins, 1 win against a ranked opponent, completely not showing up in big games, 6-6 record in year three and......horrible, horrible off the field problems - he wouldn't be on the hot seat anyway???? If MSU Football were Michigan Football and we had your problems, I can assure you that the seat would be just as hot and we would be in "DONT PANIC" mode as well. We're not content at Michigan with 9-4 records and Capital One Bowl losses like you guys are - We had this in Carr's final season, which was more or less a "failure." At Michigan State, this earns you contract extensions and saint hood - which eventually results in losing to CMU and a 6-6 record with 10% of your team beating up little frat boys. So, don't worry man - We're not thinking about MSU whatsoever. Our problems start and end in Ann Arbor. As for Gholston, I'd rather see him make a smart choice for himself and go to Bama - not only for him, but for us as well - the kid is a beast and I would prefer not to face him every year. But don't flatter yourself - there is absolutely no obsession with MSU on this blog whatsoever. We're too arrogant and worried about our own program for that, we just think it's funny when bad things happen to you guys.

1) msu best case scenario - gholston turns out to be almost as good as brandon graham. UM result - run to the other side a la osu v um 09. 2)while the spartans have had their fair share of off the field discipline issues recently, it would be hard to say that there is any program in the country that hasn't. 3)the thing that astonishes me the most about the spartans, year in and year out, is their ability to be foolish ON the field. it seems like every time they are about to seal a victory or stop a team, out come the late hits and offsides penalties and missed kicks. WHY DO YOU KEEP PUNCHING YOURSELF?

Hankins is scheduled for an Alabama visit on January 15th. The rumor is that Gholston may visit with him. If that happens, Sparty should be VERY worried.

Only on RCMB: "Did you have a Red Ryder BB gun when you were a kid?" This really confirms most of my suspicions about the MSU fanbase. I now understand why so many of them write like one-eyed trolls, too.
