Getting late Friday night drinking thread
Sam Adams Winter and Arbor Brewing Sacred Cow.
Whatcha gonna do, little brother?
JUST GOT INTO UM!!! Too young to get drunk, but I bet this feels better. Didn't get into my first choice, and it looks like I'll end up at UM, but I'm beyond fine with that. Growing up in Ann Arbor, UM has been my dream school for nearly my entire life. It's just starting to sink in how big a deal this is.... Its great! To be! A Michigan Wolverine!
COYS and lets go Detroit FC!
no better feeling than getting that big envelope from Michigan
I'm pretty sure that's standard opperating procedure now.
Nonetheless. Congratulations Go16Blue!

What was your first choice because if UM is #2 then you were shooting pretty high.
Congrats regardless and enjoy the next 4 years.

First choice was Princeton (you may remember me from such frontpage posts as "Mailbag! Princeton!"), but I was rejected yesterday. I'm sill going to apply to two other schools and UM honors, but thats a worry for another time. For now, I'm celebrating!
COYS and lets go Detroit FC!
Congrats, I remember reading about your ambitions to be blue.

We'll all enjoy a drink on your behalf. You have every right to be proud of your accomplishment. Based on your points and having seen your bizarre avatar for a while now, you're obviously a big fan. You see dreams really can come true.

Young (sir or madam),
Inspired by your message for my first post. Just wanted to add a huge congratulations on your acceptance to Michigan. There is, to borrow, no finer University in any aspect anywhere. (Ok, I don't want to hear any reasoned arguments about MICU/Har-Yale's Program in endro-astro-socio-theory...you get the emotional point of the claim.)
A quick thought. More years ago than I care to admit, Princeton was my first choice before I went to Michigan. Of course, we know it is easy to rationalize but looking back I feel endlessly grateful that I graduated from Michigan. I have been fortunate, life has treated me well... You have the rest of your life (and the opportunity) to attend the most elite and often private institutions. I had the chance after Michigan and am grateful that I have... but I will always be glad that my ALMA MATER is Michigan. It is a school of which I am am forever proud as a great (tremendous) academic institution, while still being able to be proud of it being a public school (and all that stands for) and still be able to speak endlessly about football with strangers I bumb into in an airport while traveling.
Congratulations and GO BLUE.

Cheap brandy is rarely tasty. Feel the burn my friend.
Whatcha gonna do, little brother?
I'm drinking Christian Brothers VSOP. That's cheap in my book. I'm sure there is worse

Scotch and soda
I'm currently in the process of completing my last exam of the semester and if it weren't for the internets I would have been done hours ago. Korean Law and Global Economic Order......ugggggghhhhhhhhhh. At least its take-home.
I've decided to lay off the food for a while, and go on the booze.
Myrcenary Double IPA ...PS I love Colorado!
The Blue is strong in this one!
With about 14 minutes left in the second quarter Montana goes for on fourth and a couple inside the twenty instead of taking the FG. They end up coming up three short after a good comeback. I hated the call when they did and although some CHARTS show fourth downs are too conserative in general, that has to hurt.

Drinking some home brews. A two hearted ale clone and and hefeweissen. Anyone else brew their own?
I don't, but my brother-in-law does. It always turns out pretty good but always seems to be more carbonated than normal commercial breweries. Still always fun to get drunk with him every few months.

I would be at a party having a great time, but some use of foul language infront of my mother got me grounded for the night. Lesson learned, mumble swear words. It really sucks missing social events.
Im drinking the best beer on earth and its made in Denmark. You must try it.

is from NJ? We always thought it was an MSU beer in college. Why is it now from NJ, as opposed to Latrobe?

Drinking Kettlehouse IPA from Missoula and puffing on some of the finest Montana herbal remedies... Think global / smoke local!
Ardbeg Corryvreckan. Lots of it. I am riding a peaty unicorn over a rainbow made of smoke.
Since I just got into Michigan. Class of '16!

I'm a beer salesman yet, sadly, I've been forced to drink from an IV for the last two weeks. Here's to (hopefully) getting out of the hospital tomorrow.
When I can have one, my first beer, however, will be a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.
