I've tried to reach everyone jumping off the bandwagon this week with moderate success. How about this angle? Do you really want the Freep to feel they won? The Ticket? Drew Sharp? ESPN? etc... Even if you have more doubt than ever don't you feel a little vindication today now that the final report has come out that you stuck with him? RR got dragged thru the shit for really next to nothing. I'm willing to take that chance just to give him a chance to look M. Rosenberg in the eye after a Buckeye win and know he has to right a positive article. Believe me you'll enjoy it even more next year. Hold the rope!!!

I'm traveling with my wife from CT to the game this Saturday. We bought the tickets after the Penn State game. Now is not the time to give up on this team. I can't say I really expect them to win, but I'll be goddamned if I'm not going to support them.

The team seems to be playing with a lack a of confidence and appears to be quite uptight. They just need to relax a little and start having fun again. Nothing is guranteed and start living for today. I think Brock may need lead them back out on the field, and remind them that it's just a game.

You can support the team and cheer for the young men on the field while also thinking that certain coaches and/or schemes are doing a vast disservice to those young men.

I will wait till these kids are upper classmen before i make any judgement on this team. I knew the D would be worse this year, people just got wayyyyyyyyy to hyped up about Denard and being able to win more games before thinking that he is so young.
Although i think we could find a D coordinator that could work something diff possibly, but still tough to tell cause of how young everyone is.

Whatever reasons you may have for supporting RR, this shouldn't be one of them. This is like staying in a poisonous relationship just to prove people wrong who have been saying that you're not good for one another. "I'll show them, goddammit! We'll stay together forever!"

That sucks. It is similarly painful to think of the unreasonably harsh (as opposed to reasonably harsh ... important distinction) critics in the 'blog readership.
But, they don't matter that much and they never will. Michigan football is bigger than all of them.

I have to disagree with the reasoning you suggest. Too much of the fanbase is caught up in "being right" rather than what is best for the team. There are too many people who are taking the position that they will never support Michigan if RR is the coach. (Some, I fear, actually mean it.) Others have become so entrenched as RR supporters that they will take it personally if RR is fired.
In my opinion, we should not be worried about being "right" or having others claim that they were. (Honestly, who gives a shit what some raido guy like Valenti thinks? He is just trying to get you to listen/call so he can get paid.) One way or the other, this program will move on into 2011, 2012, 2013 and so on. If it is with a new coach, then we will need to get behind him, If it is with RR, we should support (though not blindly) him too. We should worry about what is best for the team and the program, not who is right and who is wrong about RR.

None of those organizations "win" if RR goes because they will not factor in the decision. RR will keep or lose his job based on what has happened on the field, not in the media. The rest of it is just noise that will most likely not influence DB. It's all about results, progress and vision.
