Can Jake Ryan have 47 on the front and 48 on the back? Kidding ofcourse, but who would you like to see wearing #48? Personally, I would like to see Desmond Morgan get it, represent President Ford and Holland, MI!
Gerald Ford legend #48 - Who will wear it?
I'll give you 1:2 odds on the field.
I'm pretty sure they want players to wear the numbers, not the field. I'm open to trying new things, though.
My sources say that Kovacs got it.
I never trust anyone named RollDamnNeilGoBlue.
The guy is a senior and has been one of the most resiliant wolverines of all time. Plus he's a husky center.
He can't wear 48
Mr Demens is my pick
Desmond Morgan is what I heard
Demens or Kovacs...giving it to Morgan would be weird, seems like next year he could be pushed for his starting job, don't think it is a guarantee he even starts next year, that's why I'll say Demens or Kovacs. Too early to give to a freshmen LB.
And I can see your point about being pushed next year, but there will be quite a bit of "pushing" going on when you have back to back years of the recruiting that we are having. I'm not ready to throw Morgan to the practice squad yet though. Dude is a tough, gritty player.
I could see him getting ousted as a starter next year, that won't mean he is bad, just more of a sign of our depth, thats why I think Kovacs or Demens...
Die Dan Marino!
He went to stetson university and led all of division one. His eligibility already ran out. So, nice try.
One hell of a model American.
I like that. "Ace, where are you?" "I'm in physcoville and Finkle's the mayor."
Kovacs he shows great leadership.
I'll go with Morgan...less work for Jon Falk, he only has to change one digit.
On another note, why is this a 3:30 start? It's only Illinois. I have a wedding to go to and will miss the second half.
Keepin it presidential. I approve.
Would they hand out a second legacy number to a linebacker? I figured they would go O-line since that is what Ford played. Given the coaches tendency to honor seniors, what about Omameh? He hasn't always been our best lineman, but he has been out there for four years and had some great moments. Will always remember him for taking out Te'o and the safety on that long Denard run.
Offensive linemen must be 60-79 numbers.
I meant 50-79. My bad
Can they not apply to the NCAA for an exception, like they did with their UTL jerseys last year?
Wrong can wear any number.... Those are just recommended numbers
You're in fact wrong and thinking of NFL rules. In college, the numbers for linemen are not just "suggestions" but in fact are set in stone. O-linemen MUST wear 50-79. Every other position is only subject to recommendations.
I'm going to be different and guess Stephen Hopkins.
Denard Robinson hur hur
I'd like to see Kovacs get it. Can't think of a more deserving kid on the D other than Bennie Ryan.
Gonna be Morgan (heard it from someone who works with his dad).
