I'll give you 1:2 odds on the field.

I'm pretty sure they want players to wear the numbers, not the field. I'm open to trying new things, though.

Demens or Kovacs...giving it to Morgan would be weird, seems like next year he could be pushed for his starting job, don't think it is a guarantee he even starts next year, that's why I'll say Demens or Kovacs. Too early to give to a freshmen LB.

And I can see your point about being pushed next year, but there will be quite a bit of "pushing" going on when you have back to back years of the recruiting that we are having. I'm not ready to throw Morgan to the practice squad yet though. Dude is a tough, gritty player.

I could see him getting ousted as a starter next year, that won't mean he is bad, just more of a sign of our depth, thats why I think Kovacs or Demens...

I'll go with Morgan...less work for Jon Falk, he only has to change one digit.
On another note, why is this a 3:30 start? It's only Illinois. I have a wedding to go to and will miss the second half.

i think Jack Kennedy will get it.

Would they hand out a second legacy number to a linebacker? I figured they would go O-line since that is what Ford played. Given the coaches tendency to honor seniors, what about Omameh? He hasn't always been our best lineman, but he has been out there for four years and had some great moments. Will always remember him for taking out Te'o and the safety on that long Denard run.

I'd like to see Kovacs get it. Can't think of a more deserving kid on the D other than Bennie Ryan.

Gonna be Morgan (heard it from someone who works with his dad).
