Genuinely Sarcastic

Submitted by DCBlue on

Just in case any of you haven't reached for a gun to put into your mouth from the various postings on the Michigan coaching situation, you might want to pop over the Genuinely Sarcastic and read the latest post.  It. Will. Blow. Your. Fucking. Mind.

Here's the link.  You can't claim I failed to warn you.

*****THIS IS AN IMPORTANT POST TO READ BECAUSE IT'S 'THE' TRUTH*****

#1) Michigan is NOT Jim Harbaugh's 'dream job.'  He wants an NFL job, because him and his brother are so competitive.  SD, SF, Oak and Car (and maybe even Dal and Min) are all going to be fighting over him this off-season.

#2) Dave Brandon is going to be doing absolutely everything he can to convince him to come to Michigan over the next month.

#3) In all likelihood, Rich Rod will be brought back (signing a two year extension after the bowl game), and Greg Robinson will be replaced (along with the 3-3-5).  Ron English is supposedly an early DC candidate.

I agree and I wasn't trying to imply that you are normally that harsh. I just found it funny that you are telling people not to be so harsh, when you have a tendency to be serious with a condescending tone, while trying to set someones optimism straight with your "realistic" view. Again, I am not implying anything and I don't want this to become some sort of argument like the one going on below.

are you 10? Seriously, all your posts you talk about poop and farts and throw insults around like a bloody ten year old. FYI, most people here are beyond their teen years and quite well educated. I don't think they find that stuff all that amusing. Maybe I am generalizing, but that has been my experience.

I take very little that 10 year olds say to heart. What I wonder is why someone feels the need to make so many stupid insults to people they will never meet. In my life experience it is generally kids that do such things.

It isn't often adults that can't have conversations without bringing up poop, farts or cursing uncontrollably. Again, that is my experience and may not be true in all instances.

I'm sorry that I try to make people laugh, make people love this team as much as I do, instead of bitching and complaining about coaching, and playcalling and every other fucking thing you peeps bitch about.

All I've seen here in the last couple of days is either FIRE RICH ROD, or Keep Rich Rod. Thats it. So yeah I'm gonna insult some peeps, and I'm gonna continue to talk about farts and poop and bewbs.

If you don't like it you have the downvote button, use it.

you don't make many people laugh. you pull sophomoric insults to a low level and overall just act like a prick. you're not helping the dialogue and, instead, are making it worse by throwing around childish insults at a time where nobody wants to hear them because they're on edge for the very reasons you claim you're "trying to help." not one ounce of slit your wrist poopfart i made a poopy in my pants helps anyone "love the team" as much as you. it only makes people wish you would create an account on the RCMB.

just stop. seriously.

attitude is tired and selfish. it's the guy who cuts an entire line because "it's not against the law and i want to. deal with it." yes, you have the right to say whatever. but when it's an annoyance and genuine bother to the community, and we don't have the ability to have your comments not appear on the screen, choose not to be that guy.

i mean for christ's sake MAGNUS pos'd me for my comment. if you can have MAGNUS AND I on the same side of something, you're either a hot chick asking us if it's ok to take her shirt off or you're, well, you being accused of idiocy.

i can tell you one thing i'd rather see on a daily basis. Magnus?

(and btw, voting you has zero value bc 900 people can neg you and it puts you at... 9000. resetting you to zero would show you really quickly what value the board things you're currently bringing)

it's already happened repeatedly in the past year. i'd magically lose 1000 points bc someone would go through and neg every post in my history and then repeat with another account.

as far as getting "involved" - i did not attack him personally, i attacked his message and the notion that childish posting has a value. imo it doesn't. simple as that. why can't i express that opinion?

Far be it from me to speak for anyone else, but in my honest epinion, talking about farts, poop, and butts has the same weight as most of speculative bullshit bandied about round these parts.

When I see a thread started about why we should FIRE/keep RR, or GERG, or why 4 cam defense so bad, or how can we fix the defense, or X sports journalist wrote Y column about Z, etc...It might as well be DERP HERP FART BUTTS POOP DERP, because that's all anyone is getting out of those useless epinions.

and hopefully you can see the vitriol in which i and others have responded to those repetitive posts. the problem is he is doing this in every thread and it slowly gets to troll-like levels. if anything, the weeks since PSU probably illustrate best how much content was being eliminated by myself to the chagrin of some bc this sort of repetitive posting went on all season - it just wasn't seen bc it was removed (for better or worse, your call) by myself.

A large segment of us love to watch the games, enjoy them, and then have a reasonable discussion afterwards, sans the faux-rage because OMG we lost a football game. There are still some of us idealists left, who believe that wins and losses are only a very small (albiet important) part of MICH football.

I love watching players like Kovac battle even though they are physically outmatched. It pains me when the Obi Ezehs of the world never fully figure it out, and I cheer when players like Adrian Arrington do finally get it. I love watching this team, and I look forward to watching these players develop into great men and then great athletes, because that's what MICH football is really all about.

The traditions, wins, championships, etc., don't hold a candle to all of the people and players (past and present) associated with MICH football.

I actually agree with your overall point, and I've railed against the sheer quantity of nonsense and posters that have flooded the board in the last three weeks.  And I think we were MUCH better off with you deleting a ton of this crap.  But of all people to bash DB for posting nonsense, I mean, after Big Redacted, big gay heart, etc., you're kind of high on the list.

/just to be clear, plainly not your anonymous neg-bomber

if it was a humorous GIF or a witty meme that reflected something relevant, fine. that's where you have me (though I haven't done much pic hunting as of late) lumped in i presume. but i try to actually add value where i can, whether humor or actual content. constantly being rude to people in a disrespectful manner while throwing 4th grade humor around is something else.

also Big Redacted et. al create posts of nonsense. i merely contain mine in comments. and i still think there's a difference but maybe i'm blind or dumb or rambling. i think the third for sure.

to describe this whole debate is the following

T is for more Time
P is for a new Phase

and the dialogue... well...

it's little more than outbursts that result in returned fire and perhaps some laughs while the room just ends up smelling shittier

I appreciated the warning but I still clicked the link and was forced (yes, forced) to read the article, thereby causing an angry reaction.  As such, you have been awared -1 pursuant to my new "Neg All Coaching Change Discussions" Policy.

I read that this morning, and it is very damning indeed.  It almost swayed me into the "Fire RR" camp.  Almost.  However, I can't for the life of me imagine DeBord and Threet having a successful season in 2008.  That is just ridiculous.  More than likely, we'd be looking at 5-7, and then .500 seasons after that.  Do you think that we'd be any less angry then?

November 30th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^

I don't see more than a couple of extra wins in 2008, and more of the same in 2009 and 2010.

If I get the pulse of the fanbase correct, those on the pro-RR side think we're going to explode into something awesome in the next year or two. On the anti-RR side, we can explode in the near future, but with JH as the coach. Is there anyone who thinks we'd be poised to rocket to the top had DeBord been coach?

I am firmly in the get-rid-of-RR camp, but, yeah, that comment about UM being moderately respectable with DeBord as the HC and Threet as a gunslinging pro-style QB was pretty f*cking stupid.

Threet is now a RS JR at ASU and he threw 18 TD's to 16 INT's this season..so, yes, he is still a pretty bad QB. Hope he has better luck next season, though.
