My man and I are coming up from VA for the PSU game. I saw a bunch of threads that recommend good bars in AA but none for strip clubs. A google search shows that the nearest one is in Detroit??? I know that has got to be wrong. Any suggestions on were to go?
Gentlemen Clubs in AA?
The Deja Vu in Ypsi is a classy establishment.
See a one legged stripper named Chloe.
Hey there is a very nice young lady there who may or may not have a full set of teeth. She told us that she likes dancing to a particular song because it reminds her of her man who was spending his evenings as a guest of the Washtenaw County Penitentiary.
Unless she is asian, in which case it is Irene.
there is a Mexican stripper there with no legs named Consuelo
sorry, slow day
Deja Vu is brutal. The girls are naked, some are cute, but thats as far as I'd go with that place. They don't serve alcohol, that about did it in for me.
I'd go to the Landing Strip in Livonia.
EDIT: I think its called the Flight Club actually. I'll look it up right now.
EDIT EDIT: So, it is called the Flight Club and its located in Inkster. Go there.
flight club +1. went there with some friends for a bachelor party. top notch.
The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club.
... about the Flight Club, but bring a thick wallet (or a full purse).
Fuck the flight club (in Inkster, not Livonia, BTW). Go across the street to Bogart's for a real rough time. You'll see what I mean when you get there.
actually located in Romulus "The gateway to the World". Discount lap dances for fans in M garb
Damn, no alcohol = Strip Club FAIL. Thanks for the heads up...
If you want naked chicks you have to give up the alcohol. I am pretty sure its against the law for a strip club to be full nudity and serve alcohol. I would man up and go to the Vu in Ypsi, the girls are desperate college chicks looking for cash.
They may be desperate, but I'm not sure that most of them are in college...
...Cheetah's of Windsor. Decent place, full nudity, and alcohol all under one roof.
They also have giant TV screens if the ladies on hand just aren't doing it for you.
A friend of mine just took her boyfriend and a bunch of his friends there for his birthday and I heard good things.
Also, I'm not sure if this is true in Windsor, but my friend from Toronto says you're supposed to put your tip in a bucket. Apparently it is not acceptable to throw loonies and toonies at the dancers.
...I suspect this is why the Sacajawea dollar never really took hold in the US.
Not sure about the buckets...I usually just take my half-chewed piece of gum, affix it to the loonie and stick it to the dancer's leg.
Last time I was at Cheetah's (early 2008) they were very accepting of American Dollars.
On a related note: While in Germany, I wondered how to tip the strippers there, being that the lowest bill denomination they have is 5 Euros. As it turns out, they system that they have is far more awesome than I could have ever imagined.
When you go into the club, you trade say, a 20 Euro bill for 20 fake, printed out bills of what can only be described as "stripper money." You then tip the stripper with that.
Only club where I didn't feel dirty coming out of. It feels like a normal bar that just happens to have beautiful, naked women in it.
Note: If you like the whole close dancing, rubbing thing, Canada is not the place. Stricter rules.
I see you've never heard of a place called "Montreal."
Also: My lone experience at cheetahs I got a rather friendly dance where a scripper (thanks Pacman) putting her mouth on a certain part of mine through my khakis....if it gets wilder than that in the states I'm sure they'd handout penicillin with your cover charge.
For a second, I thought you were talking about Cheetah's on the strip.
That's pretty nice and sleazy.
pretty nice and sleazy
just the way i like my ladies.
Man up a little bit, dish out the money and get your man a shower with two lovely ladies on stage....My 19th birthday was fantastic...
1. Do they have strip clubs in college towns in VA?
2. Do you always do strip club reconnaissance when you travel with "your guy?"
(and if the answer to #2 is yes, do you have a sister?)
College Park, MD had a couple but they really sucked...not sure if they are still in business.
We hit up Hustler in Baltimore every now and then, last time was for the MD-California game.
Yes I have a sister. And I know where you are going with that...if that's how you feel, fair enough, don't attend one.
... around these parts, the clubs across the Detroit River in Canada are referred to as the "Windsor Ballet."
And yes I consider myself a patron of the fine arts...
you appear to be a woman who likes to go to strip clubs, so he wants to know if you have a sister who he can date who also likes to go to strip clubs - quite the opposite of being against them.
I think he wants to meet your sister, assuming you are a woman who is taking your man to a strip and NOT a guy who would refer to a friend as 'your man', because then you wouldn't likely be looking for this kind of strip club.
If your sister is in California, send me her deets ;)
I know Baltimore and West Virginia (2 closest places for me) allow nudity and serve gonorrh--er--alcohol.
Montreal...WOW...best place EVER for a strip club. I'd recommend Solid Gold to anyone who goes there.
Vu and Flight Club...we will look into it. Much obliged.
where all have you been to in WV??
Martinsburg...Legz and...Divas I think, I forget the name of the one next door to Legz.
Is nearly as good as Montreal, and not as far away. Rather liberal attitude toward contact, as well.
Not sure how to interpret "my man and I..." You might want to check out Danny's of Windsor.
The bouzouki lounge by Greektown Casino, ask for Angel, she will give ya a yank.
we went there one time and my buddy got a water,it was 10 bucks!! my shot, was 22 bucks! rip off!!!
Is this post from the Redneck Rocker?
Try Miceli's Corner in Harrison. It's worth the drive.
I have been there. Better take the truck with a gun rack if you want to fit in. A pack of smokes is great to have because on a slow night the girls will dance for a cigarette and be happy to do it. Classy place.
Yep, you've clearly been there. Wasn't sure anyone on the Blog would admit to it.
is they actually have extended hours for deer hunting season ... my kinda place
I have seen this place on that beloved corner since i was born (my granddad lives just off of Rogers Rd) and I've never dared go in since I was "of age"
but come on .. open extra for deer hunting ... i think i might have to go just for that
And live in the Detroit area. Here it goes:
The closest is Deja Vu in Ypsi...wouldn't recommend it. It's a "first strip club on your 18th birthday" type place...girls are cut college/hs(!!) types that might live with their parents in the nearest Ypsi trailer park.
I would recommend renting a hotel somewhere in the Detroit area and going to (not necessarily in this order:)
1) Flight Club in Inkster (Michigan Ave) - Fine establishment....top notch ladies, but very expensive.
2) Penthouse Club (8 Mile Road in the D) - Another fine establishment, made a big splash when it opened about 1.5 years ago. Great women, nice atmosphere...expensive as well.
3) Trumpps (8 Mile Road in the D) - Another fine establishment, a step below Penthouse
4) The Coliseum (8 Mile Road in the D - Near Gratiot) - Large, imposing structure on 8 Mile. Great atmosphere there have got to be 100 girls dancing on any given night.
5) Hustler Club (Lincoln Park off I-75 and Outer Drive) - This is brand new and I don't even know if it is open yet. Find out if it is and give it a try.....and let me know because I might be down there soon.
My recommendation would be to lodge it up in the Detroit area (somewhere in Oakland County/Downtown), enjoy the game...and then make your way back to 8 Mile Road for a victory celebration.
Penthouse, Trumps, and the Coliseum are all within a short drive of eachother, all on 8 Mile. There are also about a half dozen others on 8 Mile, but I wouldn't recommend them because they might be short on teeth and safety.
Negs me for that post?
Honestly, the guy asked a question and I answered it to the best of my abilities.
If the question were "OT: Glory Holes in Ann Arbor," I'm sure the MGoBlogger that negged me would have answered that question as thoroughly as I did this one....and I wouldnt have negged him for it.
of the good clubs in the area. +1 Don't waste your time or money on deja vu!
Thank you sir.
I'm thinking 8 mile might be a drive....but I'm sold on Flight Club. Also someone below mentioned "Subi's"....could you 2nd that choice? The girls there look like you could sit down and talk for a bit before dancing. I prefer slow and steady as a change up to the quick hustling technique.
Then...I've been there once, on a weekday during the day, and it was pretty laid back (it was a work celebration, ppl!).
You could do Flight Club then hit up Subi's Lounge.
Other than that, try 8 Mile and you'll be good.
I've been to some pretty good ones in Toronto, but Windsor is garbage....
Women are good looking and fully nude, but not any better than you can get in SE Mich....plus, dancing rules are very strict and they seem to abide by them.
Stay Stateside, it's your best bet.
I grew up near there and know the manager. It's a decent place, but not the place you want to drive from Ann Arbor to go. If you're going to make the drive, visit the following in this order:
(1) Flight Club - approx 25 min from AA
(2) Penthouse Club (on 8 mile) approx 20 min from Flight Club
If you're still not satisfied, continue down 8 mile to either Trump's or Colliseum. However, talent-wise, the Flight Club is top-notch. It is a bit pricey, but you'll enjoy it. Penthouse is not too far behind, and a little bit cheaper. Subi's is good for it's area, but again, not worth the drive from AA.
Another route is Michigan Ave from the Flight Club. When you head East, there are the following places in Dearborn (all about 10 min from the Flight Club): Silver Cricket, BT's and Pantheon Club. All are decent, a step down from Flight Club / Penthouse.
Keep going East and you'll get into Detroit and some more clubs down Michigan Ave. These are another step-down, and I would not reccomend them. The above places should keep you more than occupied! Enjoy!
Listen to Raback, he about nails it down...Everything he says is accurate. Flight Club has some incredible talent, but you are going to pay for it. And for those who keep mentioning Canada, all I can say is that yes you do get booze and full nude across the border, but the rules seem a lot more tightly followed by our neighbors to the north. Things seems to get a lot crazier a lot quicker in Detroit. At least that is my experience...
I can confirm the Vu high school girl thing.
I used to work at a retail local music store frequented by a girl that was in her high school jazz band. Went to the Vu one day (on a date with another girl, no less), and she was working there. That was incredibly awkward.
This thread is why I wish MGoBoard v1.0 (in the WAY back days) would have stuck when I was still at Michigan.
At the very least, this is a class-A case of the "OT" qualifier.
Hey, try the Necto. I heard they have great spirits. Go to the door and ask for "Boren".
Subis on Fort st and Northline in Southgate is worth it. Nice price point (no cover before 10p I think). Nice enough girls. the only downfall is if you're from downriver you probably sat next to most of these girls in HS.
I just checked out the website...I'm liking the sound of this place. How much are dances? Champagne rooms?
$20 a dance. Never did the champagne room.
because you cant have both full nudity and drink ... i suggest saving your time by not going to detriot and just getting really hammered and then going to the vu in ypsi ... then you get the best of both worlds
I've heard a couple remarks about how expensive a strip club is... The only places I've ever been are in Vegas so maybe my perception of what expensive means is skewed (had a buddy spend 7k in a night before).
What does "expensive" mean?
Makin' it rain
I prefer not having to pay over $100 to not get laid.
Could someone tell me how this is not incredibly offtopic? Preferably with a clever one-liner?
Here's the connection with UM football: prior to the 9/11 over-stadium flying ban, a large number of the banners towed by planes over the stadium were for strip clubs. Deja Vu in Ypsi would waive cover with ticket stubs, and the much-missed free football guides given away near the stadium were packed with ads from Deja Vu, The Landing Strip, Flight Club, etc.
I miss the banner planes
they are ostensibly discussing a spread option?
fun post-game celebration = watching naked ladies
Are in Windsor. But you'll need a passport to get there.
If you're planning on visiting any clubs in Windsor, you'll need a passport to get there and back.
Skip Windsor and keep the money here in Michigan.
If you're flying in, I think there is a Landing Strip in
Romulus, right by the airport in addition to the one in
Livonia, I know there used to be one there.
As far as the Vu, I went to one in Lansing, and the lack
of alcohol made it less than a good experience, because I
couldn't even drink the girls pretty. Maybe they look
better in Ypsi, and it's always nice to help a girl make
her way through college.
There are no strip clubs in Livonia. The residents would go nuts. Trust me on this one. Hell, there was public outcry when they tried to put a Hooters in, with people in the local paper declaring "This is Livonia, DAMN IT, and we have a reputation to uphold" -- ironic since the location in which they were trying to put a Hooters was less than a block from the Lakepointe Yacht Club, which is considerably more sleazy than Hooters. But it's not a strip club.
If you are looking for more than a lap dance, may I suggest B.T.'s in Dearborn. Never been there personally, but friends have told me they left satisfied ;)
Not only are you coming all the way way from VA to attend a Michigan football game, you're also taking him to the strip club? You sound like the woman of every man's dreams.
Do the scuz tour. Hit up Legs in Ypsi, Bogart's in Inkster, Atlantis Lounge in Allen Park, and Henry VII in Inkster. You'll wish you didn't know the definition of the phrase "strip club."
Check out the reviews.I guess you can change the name, not the experience.
Highlight: No matter how low your expectations are for a strip club, Leggs is sure to go below. Perhaps the stretch marked, overweight, large gut type of lady is what you are into? If so, Leggs is just the place for you. Otherwise, you had better steer clear. You can find much better looking girls pretty much anywhere, and don't have to pay for them. Frankly, I would have preferred to pay the dancers to put their clothes on so I could eat a hot dog from their gourmet buffet than lose my lunch looking at them.
Pros: Exits clearly marked.
Cons: The girls take their clothes off.
just thinking about those places!?! lol... Have to admit, been to them all!
Buying 5 drinks at Rick's will get you more action than spending $500 at a strip club.
skeeps is your best shot thou
Legz has a very quaint and cozy mattress room in the basement I've heard. A very wholesome family environment on the creepy side of creepy.
I had a friend who used to dance at both. Ypsi Deja Vu isn't very nice at all. Leggs is worse.
Flight Club is okay, but be very careful which way you drive to and from it. The area east of the Airport is dicey. The best way in and out for a non-local resident is to come over from the airport skirting the north or south boundry, and go back the same way.
(I am not talking City of Detroit Cass bad, but bad enough to need caution as an out of town visitor)
Under no circumstances should you attempt to visit Detroit clubs at night without a trusted native guide. Detroit itself can go from nice to third world in two blocks.
As for the advice about Ricks and Scorekeepers, I second. Go in there with the same money you were going to spend on strippers and use it to buy undergrad women drinks. 75% chance of scoring, and if you tell them the whole story of why you are there 90% chance of seeing tits.
